H.R. 4953: To amend the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 to subject to the requirements of the National Firearms Act any semiautomatic rifle that has the capacity to accept a detachable magazine.

Introduced with almost no fanfare on 6 Aug.

To those unfamiliar with firearms regs, what this will do is force any semi-auto pistol, rifle or shotgun with a magazine that detaches, to be registered with the ATF, a $200 tax stamp paid for each one, an extensive background check and the right of the ATF to enter your property at any time, for the purpose of "inspection".

The same hoops you have to jump through to acquire an automatic weapon.

Won't get the votes in the senate to pass. The democrats introduce stupid crap all the time but there is still a check to their power in place, for now.

Whoever authored such a dumb bill presumably swore an oath to the constitution.

He should be tried & hanged for treason.

At the minimum, states like Texas should be arresting these treasonous politicians, if they step foot on our states' soil.

We talk about nullification a lot. This is just another way to do that.
