Gun Store Depicts Obama As ‘Firearms Salesman Of The Year’

MERRIMACK, NH (CBS) – One of the posters in the front window of a New Hampshire gun shop depicts President Obama as “Firearms Salesman of the Year.” Below the president are two AK-47 rifles.

A second poster featuring the images of Adolf Hitler, Josef Stalin and Mao Zedong accompanies a statement that reads, “All Experts Agree, Gun Control Works.”

These types of signs have become more common since the gun control debate recently grabbed headlines around the country, but the signs in front of Collectible Arms & Ammo in Merrimack are still irritating to some residents.

Chuck Mower, who lives down the street from the shop, says the message is over the top and unnecessary.

“I can’t even imagine any president’s picture being portrayed on the front of a business with crossed assault weapons underneath it,” Mower said.

Store co-owner Keith Cox says the President Obama sign isn’t a joke. He credits the president for a boom in business.

Cox says the signs have gotten mostly positive feedback, and he has no plans to take them down.

“This is simply nothing more than a message of free speech. We are not violating any laws. If people are offended, they can choose not to look at our storefront,” Cox said.

I mentioned this on a friends Facebook post a few days ago. Something along the lines of "all the gun control talk is a ploy to get Republicans to spend money and boost the economy"

“I can’t even imagine any president’s picture being portrayed on the front of a business with crossed assault weapons underneath it,” Mower said.

and i satchel mcqueen cant imagine a president who says he can kill american citizens and jail them without due process.

It is totally underused!

“When those kinds of things appear and take the public presence…they paint us more as a gooberville in Arkansas.”

Oh look. Another prog bigot.

Mower, a longtime Merrimack resident, has filed a complaint with the city.

That's right. Go run to your mommy.

“It’s not a good community standard message and it doesn’t add to solving any of the complicated issues,” he said.

What's complicated about "shall not be infringed?" Here's a solution: If you don't like guns, don't buy one.

Some kid should put that on a shirt and wear it to a high school. I wonder if it would be OK or the get would have to turn it inside out, like a Marine shirt? What would the school superintendent say afterwords?

I enjoyed seeing this MSM report on the Drudge Report. Maybe it will scare some statists away from NH.

Even the most talked about man on this Forum posted the story.

Please folks, keep sharing the story. It's stories like this that make life easier for free staters and everyone else in New England. If someone is offended by this story, excellent!

I doubt they'd get off with that light of a punishment.
