Ron Paul might lose if he doesn't change some of his wording. Instead of completely skating over the issue of a genocide, he can say something about needing the consensus of the country and the congress first, and trying to find a peaceful resolution before any other action is taken. Sure it is labeled a Civil War, but people like Captain Brian Steidle shows how entire villages of women and children are casually massacred all the time, and this is not done in a real combat situation among opposing forces.
Ron Paul's primary loyalty is to the American people, but he will come off as a very cold man if he does not show at least some sympathy in his interviews. Even if he is personally opposed to sanctions or whatnot, he should at least appear to be sympathetic, which we know he is.
