2010 was a great year for the Liberty movement. Rand's big win, The Judge's Freedomwatch, our 2010 CPAC landslide and Ron taking the chairmanship for the monetary subcommittee lead the short list of examples. With all this taken into account, its becoming increasingly clear that Ron Paul will be announcing a run at the White House sometime soon.
If you're as convinced of his run as I am, its time to start constructively planning what sort of actions we can all individually take during this campaign. During the last campaign, I only learned of Dr. Paul just in time for the second money bomb. This time, I want to be making a difference from the very beginning all the way to Pennsylvania Avenue.
Financially, I intend to find someway, somehow to make the max contribution for the primary. I'll have a car wash fundraiser or two if I have to. Last time around I was responsible for covering all of the busiest roads in my rural county with "google Ron Paul" signs. As I'm currently overseas, I want to find a new way to impact on grassroots projects. The first and easiest thing I am doing is registering for other popular blogs and websites. I've made a point to do this now and not wait until after his announcement. I recently read that RonPaulForums has over 27,000 members. If we all signed up for a couple of new blogs, we could dramatically increase our voice on the internet. I'm confident our voice will be loud and clear online, and I want to make sure I'm a part of it. I'm going out of my way on facebook to build online friendships and gain influence now, cashing in those chips when my wall goes full Ron Paul 2012 campaign.
Besides raising more money and expanding out to other forums, I'd like to get involved in video making. I've had some simple video projects before and would like to further learn the craft while promoting Ron Paul. Living in China makes this also a little frustrating. I have limited access to sites like youtube but I intend to get some videos made and then worry about how to get them posted.
Knowing Ron will be announcing soon, I'd like to know how other folks are making preperations. I truly believe this new campaign will make the one of 2008 look like a warm-up. Lets hit the ground running!
