Freshman Republican state Rep. Kurt Bills announced Thursday that he is running for U.S. Senate to bring “Econ 101" to Washington.
“I have been teaching economics at Rosemount High School for 15 years and have watched in great detail as our various deficits and debt have grown to shockingly large proportions,” Bills said.

Bills, 42, is a Republican with libertarian leanings. He was a high-profile supporter of Republican presidential candidate Ron Paul during the state caucuses in February.

Bills has introduced a measure at the state Capitol to make gold and silver legal tender.

He and a small handful of other GOP candidates are vying to defeat Democratic U.S. Sen. Amy Klobuchar, who is running for a second term.

We have many liberty candidates :D.

Personally I think a banner that links to a thread with the details (campaign site, facebook page, donation page) of all of the liberty candidates would be more appropriate, you know, for fairness.
 
Be careful not to alienate Severson. He may have the Establishment support, but he is not against us.
We may have two horses in this race.

I have met Kurt several times and have heard him speak on multiple occasions. Kurt is an Austrian-economics high school teacher who was elected to the State House and is running against the big-government Democrat Amy Klobuchar.

Senator Klobuchar was a co-sponsor for the CISPA/PIPA legislation which would give the government the ability to shut down whatever website it wanted to on a whim.

If we can get Kurt Bills to beat her, and it is possible to do, then we can send a message that we are REJECTING those who want to censor the Internet!

Any news on getting these candidate sub-forums started Kotin? Not doubting you personally, but how hard could it be honestly?
Where's RPF leadership getting behind our rEVOLution candidates and helping with gathering news and volunteers in a single spot on the Forums? This place is sleep-walking through these races. Same thing with Bentivolio...

Sorry, he's flipped on foreign aid already, and wants a national marriage amendment. If he's caving or showing his true colors already, just wait until he enters the belly of the beast. Bills can pound sand.
