I just came from a GOP class on how to run a successful campaign. Here's the formula for success:
1)Go Door to Door organized by PRECINCTS to spread the message and identify supporters.
2) Run low cost radio ads. Ours cost $20/spot on local talk radio.
3)Focused mailings to identified supporters keeping them energized and asking for donations.
4)Don't waste time converting the opposition. Give them a flyer and move on.
5)Kindness is the most vital ingredient in a campaign.

Political campaigns are all about prospecting for supporters. It's very rare to change someones mind. You job is to spread information, look for supporters, look for potential supporters, and don't waste energy on converting the opposition.

Only 15% of citizens give money or time to the political process.
