I'm not sure what it's going to take for freedom loving people to know they need to permanently stay away from GoFundMe. I can see being on YouTube or Twitter because "That's where the audience is." But there's no legit reason to use GoFundMe. You can donate through Bitcoin or Ethereum or just use one of the alternatives.

Now, if GiveSendGo can beef up their servers/security, they could quickly fill the gap. I've been trying all day to get the page to come up but still getting gateway errors. I didn't donate to the original fund but I'm feeling pissed off enough to throw a few bucks at Canada now.

givesendgo is a website like gofu**me, I didn't see an option to give crypto. If this gets shut down some how and we have to revert to crypto, that actually wouldn't be the worst thing in the world.

Not sure why I got wrapped in quotes, as I cannot comment on crypto because I was never sold on it (though that is not a defense of FRNs), but I would say that technological advances that preserve freedom are never particularly far ahead of the means to control us.

It never ceases to amaze me that the country's founders were able to spark a revolution using pamphlets delivered on horseback. today they have a far easier time keeping up with every single thing we post, than King George III did from across the ocean.

Which is why the cryptocurrency donation site should be hosted on Hive (where Steemit users went after their platform got overrun by Chicoms) or using DAT/Hyperdrive/Beaker or IPFS. Site is working (somewhat) better today, I keep trying to donate a measly $10 but it hangs on the confirmation page.
