No it is not the letter they are passing around, it is this:

The Sustainable Defense Task Force was formed in response to a request from Representative Barney Frank (D-MA), working in cooperation with Representative Walter B. Jones (R-NC), Representative Ron Paul (R-TX), and Senator Ron Wyden (D-OR), to explore possible defense budget contributions to deficit reduction efforts that would not compromise the essential security of the United States. The Project on Defense Alternatives coordinated the work of the Task Force. Carl Conetta drafted the main body of the Task Force report in ongoing consultation with Task Force members who developed or digested proposals from the diverse sources cited in the report. A sub-committee of the Task Force reviewed the final draft before publication. It should not be assumed that all Task Force members endorse all items and sections of the report.

So I asked how they knew CATO was connected to Soros: In the following video CATO and Soros totally twist the Hayek message:
Tom Woods corrects their misinformation here:
http://www.tomwoods.com/blog/george-soros-not-just-sinister-also-stupid/
So the answer is yes CATO and Soros are now joined at the hip.

So I did a little more digging, and informed them that Barney Frank's budget plan had nothing to do with Ron Paul's budget plan announced in his campaign. Here is that evidence to that:
Barney Frank explains his plan: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2010/04/23/the-barney-commission-def_n_550066.html
Here is Ron Paul's plan: http://www.ronpaul2012.com/the-issues/ron-paul-plan-to-restore-america/
So if you are confronted with this as I was, you can assure them Soros had nothing to do with Ron Paul's budget plan. Also Soros has totally opposite opposite views on the future of this Country.
- Soros believes in redistribution....Ron Paul does not
- Soros is against the gold standard, and in favor of the IMF one world Currency...totally opposite of Ron Paul
- Soros is for the IMF one world governance....Ron is for U.S. sovereignty.
Also Soros is a big contributor and frequent speaker at Aspen Institute which trains many of the Republican candidates, and that is why one hears so many of our political leaders (Republican and Dems) speaking of "the new world order" as does Soros.

So Soros either infiltrates or manages to deface his opponents. Ron Paul is one of the few politicians that have not been co-opted by Soros ideas. In fact he opposes them. It is rather interesting that this false implication that Soros has something to do with Ron Paul's budget plan comes at this time of the election cycle.
So spread the word
