Mr. Paul, in an interview, said convention planners had offered him an opportunity to speak under two conditions: that he deliver remarks vetted by the Romney campaign, and that he give a full-fledged endorsement of Mr. Romney. He declined.

"It wouldn't be my speech," Mr. Paul said. "That would undo everything I've done in the last 30 years. I don't fully endorse him for president."

This is an interesting gem:

Republicans plan to show a tribute video honoring the the retiring libertarian politician Tuesday at the convention. Paul is also holding his own rally nearby on Sunday afternoon.

Thanks for sharing!

I hope people read this.

Something straight from Ron. Something absolute. He does not endorse Romney. He only seems to use "fully" because it was the language used in "allowing" him a speaking spot.

Tribute film eh?....watch for the tech glitches, or power outage. Timing is everything.

This is like Davy Crockett spitting in the eye of Santa Anna when asked to surrender the Alamo. (okay not 100% historically accurate but just go with it).

that day (Tuesday) of the convention has now been cancelled due to the tropical storm coming in (Monday). We'll see what happens with the video.

I'm willing to believe Davy Crockett could spit a fair distance. After all, he 'killed him a b'ar when he was only three', I know this for a fact.

Thank you Ron, thank you.

Your faith in the truths you promote is pretty clear, while others who insist on only applying those truths selectively clearly show their faith in such truth is severely lacking -if at all even present.

Thank you. :)
