Freedom I.Q. Quiz - How high is your Freedom I.Q.?

More than a few spelling errors. Where was the proofreading?

About them:
Freedom University is dedicated to teaching the knowledge of Freedom and Free Societies; a field which has been neglected for centuries and has not been taught in schools and universities for over one hundred years; a knowledge that your parents have never known and your grandparents little knew and long lost .

What is this knowledge?

It is the knowledge of the Kingdom of God which makes people, towns, cities, and nations free. The knowledge Americans once had in relative abundance, three centuries ago; though today, less than two percent of Americans can even define a free society, much less explain how freedom works.

Good idea, but it's hard to take them serious when on the literary/education section of the test, there is spelling errors. Not a good reflection on the message.

You meant "there ARE spelling errors."

I didn't agree with their bias' on a lot of the questions, and there are a lot of errors.

I scored a 66/101.

Got me, but I didn't write nor proof read the test. I'm just a yokel liberty hound on RPFs...just saying I thought that the test was a good way to educate people, just make sure it stands up to the critique that will come from the statists.

Ok, OP, good effort, but I give it a 2 out of 10. Perhaps I just have different standards that include realistically quantifying political systems (and realizing what aspects can't be accurately quantified) and applying the scientific method. The quiz's questions and answers were mostly arbitrary.

The structure of the message contained within the quiz would leave some people more confused about the message than if they hadn't seen it at all. First impressions are psychologically the most important, unalterable and longest lasting, so it's necessary that you get all messages right the first time unless you want to have an oppositely desired effect on a lot of people.

For example, on what basis is the 'correct' answer for the USA 100 years ago at a 7 on a 1-10 non-free vs. free scale? And so forth. This is arbitrary nonsense, with no possible clear right answer. If were your TA in a political analysis class I would have given this particular project a D or F due to this.

Don't be discouraged though. Just take this advice and revise the message to make it stronger. You're on the right path. Good job with the site, I can tell you've put a lot of time and effort into it.

I disagree with a lot of the answers on the test. Here is an example: Question thirteen. I got it correct, but was forced to choose a wrong answer to answer it. It was just that the wrong answers were even worse.

Also, some whole premises of the questions are based upon a person having a particular socio-economic status. In question 2, which asked how free the US was 100 years ago, the answer would be VERY different if you were a Native American or black versus a wasp.

I took the test. Got an 84%. I misread the question about "free and unfree societies" and I answered as if we were only talking about unfree societies. Apparently they think anti-adultery laws could exist in a free society. I'm curious why they think that is the case.

Unortunately, I knew America's freedom 100 years ago was "7" because of this thread. I don't know what I would have picked otherwise. Probably would have been close to that, but not sure if I would have picked something else.

As for America's freedom today, I picked 4. I'm not sure if I am correct or not, but I'm not sure exactly where they get some of their internal logic. Why is Nazi Germany freer than the USSR? Not saying it isn't, I'm just curious how they determine that. I'd actually be happy if they were right, it would be a good argument to use against pro-WWII people (almost everyone I know.) I'd actually be curious how people on RPF would answer that question.

I didn't agree with every answer but it was informative. I'm going to ask my dad to take it.
