It’s official. John McCain has been declared the winner of the Louisiana GOP caucuses held Jan. 22.

The state’s primary is Feb. 9, but more than 10,000 Republican voters in the state attended the late January caucuses to select delegates to the state convention. Though preliminary results showed McCain won more delegates than any other named candidate, officials still had to verify the eligibility of Republicans who used provisional ballots and clear up confusion over delegate candidates running on more than one slate.

The Republican Party of Louisiana issued formal congratulations to McCain Friday.

In a letter to the McCain camp, state GOP Chairman Roger Villere Jr. said McCain likely will receive 41 of the state’s 47 delegates to the Republican National Convention.

The Arizona senator already had trumpeted the preliminary results as a sign of his growing momentum. He’s scored back-to-back victories in the South Carolina and Florida primaries, and national polls show him ahead going into Super Tuesday, Feb. 5.

WOW..I hope the campaign is following up on this. It does not sound correct at all

I am seriously questioning the integrity of our election process.

There are several boxes we can use to defend liberty…
Soap box (taken away by the MSM)
Ballot Box (possibly tampered with)
Jury box (your right as a juror to judge the law are basically non-existent now)
Ammo Box (time buy some soon?)

What Happened?

Thought 1st Place was "uncommitted" and 2nd Place was Ron Paul and the National Campaign went down to straighten things out?????

How the Hell does John McCain win a state like Louisanna????

No, many provisional votes that weren't counted have been validated and should be added. Roger Villere is a weasle and most of the party feels he is inept and an embarrasment . Whoever heard of a preliminary press release.

Many of the delegates may be disqualified for registering after Jan10. Most of theMcCain delegates registered after that day. I think the party is in a state of dissolution in Louisiana

How did McCain win with 7 out of 105 total delegates?

District 1 Uncommitted ProLife ProFamily wins 13 seats

District 2 Uncommitted PLPF wins SEVEN seats. McCain wins 6.

District 3 Uncommitted PLPF wins ALL FIFTEEN seats. McCain wins ZERO.

District 4 Uncommitted PLPF wins TWELVE seats. McCain wins ZERO. (SIX Uncommitted Names used on McCain ballot, all SIX Uncommitted Names WIN seats.

District 5 Uncommited PLPF wins EIGHT seats. McCain wins ONE. (FIVE Uncommitted Names used on McCain ballot) ( McCainDist5.pdf)

District 6 Ucommitted PLPF wins TWELVE seats.

District 7 Uncommitted PLPF wins ALL FIFTEEN seats.

Torchbearer: in a nutshell, how do you see this turning out? what is your prediction for final delegate (to Nat'l) count for Ron?

In Louisiana? It depends on if they disqualify the delegates that signed up after jan10. If they do that... we win all the national delegates.
If they count the provisional ballots we win all the national delegates.
If they continue to ignore us, and make up the rules as they go... we may have 2-6 national delegates.

Who is making that decision?

So is the GOP reviewing la actions, in regard to changing the date?

What is the timeframe for making a decision?

Does anyone know what day they decided to extend the date from the 10th to the 12th?

Thanks,

Thanks,

Good question if our state coordinator would respond to my emails, i'd give you the answer. I'm not very happy with Andrew Axsom's response rate right now.

arnt you suing? I thought you had lawyers.

Can't sue until I have all the info put together, and the case can be made....
Unfortunately, when I try to confirm that the people I have info on were not counted in the provisional ballots, the fucking official campaign people won't respond to my request for info... so its our own HQ people that are keeping me from getting the info I need to form a case against the state GOP.
see above post.

You can't sue until all the facts are in, but you can have lawyers looking over every step of the way. Where are our lawyers?

Do these states no longer care about looking like a bunch of rubes anymore? Or don't they realize how this stuff looks to others around the nation? It makes it look like the stereotypical small town corruption one sees in the movies is how it actually is in LA. But then, after what happened in NH, and how they look when "securing" the ballots for recounts, I guess maybe it is more widespread than I thought and they don't really care how it looks anymore.

Mine are on speed dial, msn messenger, and one is even a former roommate in new orleans... but I don't call on them until I have everything together... why? because I don't pay most of them.. they are personal friends.
The ones I have on retainer are about half...but i'm not paying them hourly for work i can put together myself. I only need them when we have to deal with the court system.

My guess is the "uncommitted" life party delegates are Hard Core Republicans that take their marching orders from LA GOP HQ. Now that Fred is gone they are probably being instructed to vote for McCain.

I was looking at who donated to who in my area... and one guy who donated $500 to fred thompson in Q2 donated $500 to Ron Paul in Q4, so we can wiin over fredheads.
