Federal prosecutors charged 26-year-old Natalie Greene with staging an elaborate hoax where she claimed three men assaulted her for working for Rep. Jeff Van Drew.

The Rutgers law student actually paid a Pennsylvania body-modification artist to carve wounds on her face and neck.

Police found Greene zip-tied on an Egg Harbor Township trail with "Trump Whore" on her stomach and "Van Drew is a racist" on her back.

She told FBI agents armed men threatened to shoot her.

Reality: Greene bought zip ties at a Dollar Store, drove to PA for the scarification, and had an accomplice call 911. Investigators found matching zip ties in her Maserati SUV.

Van Drew's office:

"We're deeply saddened... hope she's getting the care she needs"

It was a bit more than that - but Natalie Greene didn't even get that much.

Well to be honest I never even heard of this story until today and it happened back in July. Looking it up apperently she was dumb enough to have the rope and duck tape in her car. The JS co-conspirators took their materials home with them. JS also delayed turning over his cell phone. And I think JS case being so widely publicized may have caused some system wide natural immunity to such hoaxes.

Maserati-driving, ex-law school student Natalie Greene was charged last month for allegedly staging the phony assault in which her assailants supposedly held her at gunpoint, carved up her skin and wrote “Trump Whore” on her stomach.

Jeff Van Drew (R-NJ), hired a fetish artist to cut the skin on her face, neck, chest, shoulder and stomach, including having him scrawl “Van Drew is a racist” on her body as part of the bogus ambush at Egg Harbor Township Nature Reserve on July 23, prosecutors alleged.

She was released on $200,000 bond with GPS tracking via an ankle bracelet on Nov. 19.

But Camden federal Magistrate Judge Elizabeth Pascal ordered Greene on Nov. 26 to report to pretrial services to have her ankle bracelet removed while she receives inpatient treatment.
