As many of you may have gathered from my last thread, I'm pretty young and very inexperienced in all things investing. I do, however, have a sincere interest in learning about the topic and one day becoming quite the savvy young investor.

I have heard Peter Schiff and others mention foreign currency and foreign equity investment as a good method of escaping the fall of the dollar. I have already put a significant portion of my savings towards silver, however I figured a little diversification is never a bad thing. Does anyone have ideas or tips for a rookie on how/what to achieve this? Short of going to a currency exchange kiosk and outright buying Swiss Francs, I really have no idea...

Definitely look around, but generally I've been happy with Everbank.com which has FDIC-insured foreign currency accounts and CDs.

if you have an IRA - check out ETF's. Japanese Yen, Swiss Franc.. and considering Reminbi may be best best against the dollar for decades to come, may be a good idea to buy some at the airport kiosk ;) - that's the only place you'll find them as they are not available to buy in the currencies market as a U.S. Citizen

Everbank DOES offer reminbi investments--as well as gold, etc.
