Here is a list of possible talent for the Ron Paul Freedom Concert. It includes speakers, comedians, and musical acts many of whom call SC their home.

We can invest some money, create a media sensation, and win or we can save that money, come in fifth or sixth and hope to somehow make it further down the road. That is up to HQ.

George Carlin would be funny... I have heard some of his standup on the owner's of this country and I think he'd like the good doctor!

No, he would not like the good doctor. He is a leftist. He would likely love Noam Chomsky and various other people who are just simply wrong.

We really need to stop deluding ourselves about famous people being the least bit libertarian. They are almost never so. Carlin hates corporations and corporate government, and that is where the similarity in his views and our views ends.

John Daly (golfer) is pretty good friends with the members of hootie and the Blow Fish

What they should do is launch some ads bashing the IRS, and the loss of Stataes Rights.

You can't win an election by putting on one big event. If you could, you'd see eveybody doing it.

You win by having a message that resonates with the voters, a candidate delivering that message that voters like and support, free and paid media delivering the candidates message to potential voters, and a GOTV effort to make sure they get to the polls.

A big event can generate some free media and possibly raise some money to pay for other campaign activities. But no single event is going to win any election.

I strongly disagree; George Carlin is very much like us and Dr. Paul. While I used to believe that the problem with our government was well-intended but wrong philosophy, I've slowly learned that the larger problem is lies and corruption. From the Fed to corporate government to the wars, the major problems are the lies and corruption. That's why when Paul was asked who he is closest to on the Democratic side of the ticket, he chose Kucinich, who is, by many standards, the most domestically liberal of all the Democratic candidates. Kucinich may think that supply and demand is science fiction, but he's honest, which is why he opposes the war and wouldn't pass laws with dishonest reasons. Believe it or not, if he was our president right now, we'd be in much better shape, and I can confidently say that Kucinich is the best Democratic/Republican candidate other than Paul (and I'm libertarian).

And look at the war. Libertarianism/republicanism isn't what tells us that the war is misguided and the extremists hate us because we've been there constantly; down-to-earth, reasonable understanding of history is what tells us this, which is why many leftists come to the same conclusion.

Plus, it's not like George Carlin gives economic commentary, he talks about the collusion between corporations and government. Whether you believe in capitalism or not, collusion between corporations and government is clearly wrong, and his commentary on it is 100% true and helpful to our cause, as well as to the libertarian cause.

Finally, the only reason I can think of for liberals constantly trusting the Fed's brand of economics (and they're so stubborn, g-d damn it) is because they're so used to having bullshit, jargon-filled economics fed to them in the first place, why not a little "money growth supply to match economic growth and combat the inflation brought on by corporations (their favorite buzzword)" to top it all off? If we properly presented the anti-Fed argument in terms of who's running the Fed and what happens to money, we don't have to convince people to become libertarians for them to realize how retarded our monetary system is.

There you go, my biggest three issues, they're not even exclusive to libertarian theory: the war/empire, monetary policy, civil liberties. Honesty and transparency first; honest and transparency and libertarianism is awesome, but just honesty and transparency is a great step forward for this country.

YES. This specifically would be a great ad. Tax season isn't too far away... too bad you don't pay your taxes a few weeks before Super Tuesday! Get everyone pissed off, then run the anti IRS ad... heh
