On Monday, August 6, 2012, the RNC stated that Ron Paul would not be allowed to speak at the Republican National Convention in Tampa this month. Organizers of Paul Festival responded by announcing that every ticket purchased will receive a second, complimentary ticket.
Today, Revolution Travel Management, the travel & lodging arm of the Paul Festival group, declared that they will do everything possible to get feet on the ground in Tampa, to show support for the the founding father of the liberty movement and his contributions to the most vibrant segment of the GOP, the most enthusiastic, fastest growing political movement in recent history.
Although the candidate will not speak at the festival, he showed his support for the hard work of the grassroots in planning the event: "The organizers of Paul Festival have been very helpful in working with my staff to avoid scheduling conflicts with our rally on Sunday, and I am very appreciative of the flexibility they’ve shown and the enthusiasm with which they’ve embraced our plans. I am confident that the hard work by the Paul Fest organizers will result in a great time for all those attending their event."
National Ronvoys will transport supporters to Tampa to attend the festival and a march presented by the Veterans for Ron Paul http://ronpaulisthechoiceofthetroops.com. State Ronvoys will transport supporters for those events, and will remain in Tampa for the duration of the convention as well. Rates are discounted as much as $100 off of previously published rates.
