NJ is, sadly, the best state to go to if your child needs care for autism, as NJ is one of the only states that are truly doing their best to research it. The large numbers in NJ could be very well be just because doctors in NJ are so used to seeing it they can diagnose it easier. However, 84% of those used in a study (to see the numbers) were born IN NJ and did not migrate from other states - so the numbers do not make sense really.
We will see if the numbers spike or not once these poor children start getting these shots. Unfortunately, I think they are using these kids as lab rats because I think doctors are at the end of their line with this condition. But I can guarantee you if the numbers do continue to increase and more children are diagnosed in this state, you won't hear about it.
I feel for the children.
