Flu Shots Required for School children in NJ

How many reasons do you need to take your kids out of the public brainwashing school system?

Some vaccines I am for - like mumps, rhubella, polio, you know the good shit we got hooked up with as kids.

Other vaccines I am not so sure of.

Chicken Pox? -- yeah it sucks but its has an extremely low mortality rate and 99.9% of the kids will never get it again. Its better than playing guinnea pig with my kids on the vaccine.

Flu Shots? -- flu sucks but the vaccines don't always innoculate you against the strain that ends up going around. I can't speak for everyone but I had the flu maybe a 5 or 6 times as a kid and I haven't had it in the last 15 years or so at least... if my kids are the same way, why would I want to vaccinate them? Odds would be good that they wouldn't get the flu anyway.

NJ has the highest autism rate in the country... They're doing a lot to help that.

flu shots suck! The only time I had a flu shot was about 13 years ago and that was the ONLY time I ever got the flu. That was the sickest I have ever been in my life!

Its really strange. I've been working in video rentals (in NJ) since '99 and, well, back then, I never had any autistic kids come into the store with their parents. It seems like in the last 2-3 years, though, I've had a ton of customers come in with young autistic children (let's say age 4yrs to 9 or 10yrs).

What changed? Did they change what they put in the vaccines? Or do you think its a combination of a few different things (like hormones & chemicals in food plus the vaccines)?

And I almost moved there a year and a half ago.. thank god I didn't..

And it's not just for school aged kids- preschool and DAYCARE as well?! Holy sh*t...

I don't know how this kinda stuff doesn't convince every other mother out there to be a stay at home mother and homeschool.. It's crazy that I get ridiculed by a lot of people for 'just staying at home' but gosh- who would just hand off their kids to this system these days?!

Seriously is it just me or does anyone else want to like leave society and never return? Every day it's just more and more.. I'd go strict Amish if they weren't so dang religious..

NJ is, sadly, the best state to go to if your child needs care for autism, as NJ is one of the only states that are truly doing their best to research it. The large numbers in NJ could be very well be just because doctors in NJ are so used to seeing it they can diagnose it easier. However, 84% of those used in a study (to see the numbers) were born IN NJ and did not migrate from other states - so the numbers do not make sense really.

We will see if the numbers spike or not once these poor children start getting these shots. Unfortunately, I think they are using these kids as lab rats because I think doctors are at the end of their line with this condition. But I can guarantee you if the numbers do continue to increase and more children are diagnosed in this state, you won't hear about it.

I feel for the children.
