FLASHBACK 2010: Ron Paul says Bernie Sanders "Sold Out" and gutted Audit The Fed bill

Take note, leftarians, who like to think Bernie is Paul with a light blue shade.

RON PAUL SAYS BERNIE SANDERS “SOLD OUT,” SIDED WITH CHRIS DODD TO “GUT” AUDIT THE FED

Ron Paul has released a statement on Bernie Sanders’ decision to gut his Audit the Fed amendment:

Bernie Sanders has sold out and sided with Chris Dodd to gut Audit the Fed in the Senate. His “compromise” is what the Administration and banking interests want: they’ll allow the TARP and TALF to be audited, but no transparency of the FOMC, discount window operations or agreement with foreign central banks. We need to take action and stop this!

The audit is only allowed back to December 2007, which leaves most of the work of the Fed’s Open Markets Committee in the dark — they were the ones who were supposed to be watching over Wall Street when they were laying the groundwork for the collapse. And according to Jay Newton-Small of Time Magazine, there will only be one audit — it will not be ongoing.

Ron Paul and Alan Grayson worked like dogs to get this through the House. And the White House would not have gone to Sanders if they’d been able to peel off the votes to tank the amendment. But with 68 Senators having voted for it or cosponsored it in the past year, that was a heavy lift. Bernie was the weak link.

Moral of the story? Even when you have 60 votes, you don’t have 60 votes. We did what we were supposed to do. For a year. We whipped cosponsors. We beat back efforts to torpedo the bill. We worked with the libertarians to form a right-left coalition, the true “bipartisan” kind that you never see, on an issue that the public overwhelmingly supports: accountability for the banks. The votes were there in the Senate.

Bernie traded it all away. He was singing the praises of the Campaign for Liberty today from the floor of the Senate, and now they’re saying he sucks. They’re right. Ron Paul is calling for this to be stopped, but I frankly don’t know what can be done.

Have long wondered if Sanders sold out on that day after a promise was made allowing him to run as a future presidential nominee on the democrat ticket.

He would've received much less attention if he had to run as the Independent he is registered as. Democrats gifted Sanders with the chance to emulate Ron Paul's success without all the hard work, sacrifices, smears, abuse, rampant disrespect and full-blown media hatred that Ron Paul had to endure!

I cringe everytime I hear the media - including conservative media (fox news) - blabber on about how Sanders is so "loved" and respected by his supporters, and attributing it to his alleged "honesty", claiming that "he's been saying the same things" forever.

Exactly what is it that made democrats allow this Independent to run on their own ticket, giving him all the special DNC-funded perks and recognition only party members are normally entitled to?

For anyone already considering voting for Bernie, please ignore any posts showing where he deviates from Paul, just do like the Trumptarians did when we presented to them evidence that Trump's philosophy was in opposition to Ron Paul. Just focus on the little positive you think Bernie will fulfill once in office and just vote. Trump supporters on this site have zero credibility when it comes to calling out anyone voting for Bernie.

When it comes to Auditing the fed, at least Bernie pretended to do something about it(or maybe the deep state got in his way). Trump on the other hand threatened to challenge Ron Paul if he got the nomination and gave lip service to audit the fed during the elections and once in office, forget about it. Bernie bros faction of RPF, don't let the Trump faction shame you for supporting the dem socialist. If you must say something, tell em you believe he is less interventionist than Trump and that is why you picked him :)

Honestly if Bernie is your first choice among the democrats then I don't know what you're doing here.

And speaking of flashbacks, has anyone else noticed how the MSM and the dem establishment has been mistreating Bernie. They call him sexist, racist, ignore polls that show him leading, call him unelectable, cheat him in the elections etc. Its sorta like what they did to Trump. Its like everyone is playing their part to make him appear to be the outsider.

So to the people who fell for the media mind games with Trump, do you also think this is a sign that Bernie is an outsider that is a danger to the establishment order?

Bernie is not my choice even among the dems, mine is Tulsi and I don't even believe that she would fulfill a fraction of her good policies that I like . I am just point the irony of Trump supporters now lecturing Bernie supporters on how he is different from Ron Paul. Like it should affect their support for him when it did nothing for them with Trump.

There is nothing good about Bernie, he is worse on intervention than Trump no matter what his rhetoric is.

Bernie is full of crap when it comes to standing up to Wall St just like Elizabeth Warren is. They are all talk. Bernie is nothing like Ron Paul in any way shape or form. Bernie is a looter.

I don't think he would have withdrawn from the Nuclear deal and you can't really tell how good or bad he will be until you elect him. Seeing how we already know Trump is bad on foreign policy, taking a chance with a new face is not that crazy when you think about it.

He has a record of supporting new wars in the Senate.

Bernie would be much worse than Trump, the specific targets might change but the actions would be much worse.

Some socialists, like Dennis Kucinich (remember him?), had genuinely wanted to support Ron in auditing or otherwise criticizing the Fed, but you have to understand why they did this. It wasn't because they favored sound money. They thought the Fed didn't print enough (to finance their insanely expensive socialist programs). It's the same with Trump now; he wants the Fed to print money to keep the deficit non-catastrophic and the DJIA at all time highs. No one really wants sound money. Bernie, I'm sure, is a greenbacker type who just wants the Fed to print money ad lib to pay for various retarded Berniecare programs: free everything for everyone.

Fun fact: the bolsheviks in 1918 deliberately destroyed the currency through hyperinflation, as this leads to rationing, and thus state control.

As I said in my other post, the people who read your posts will know if I was lying or not about you sounding exactly like a Bernie Bro typically found on reddit's r/socialism and r/communism. The more of these Bernie tops polls or Rogan loves Bernie threads that pop up, the more you are exposing yourself.

Also, Trump just nominated a big time activist pro gold sound money for FED governor. So you keep talking about how you want to vote for Bernie for the lols.
