FDA: Human Body IS A DRUG And We Have The Authority To Regulate It

WTF

In another outrageous power-grab, FDA says your own stem cells are drugs—and stem cell therapy is interstate commerce because it affects the bottom line of FDA-approved drugs in other states!

We wish this were a joke, but it’s the US Food and Drug Administration’s latest claim in its battle with a Colorado clinic over its Regenexx-SD™ procedure

AAAHHHH!!! The interstate commerce clause, is there anything it can't do.

Meh, what are they going to do? Come out of their nice cozy air conditioned offices to come arrest people committing these "crimes"? Yeah, right......

If memory serves the FDA has an enforcement branch with SWAT gear. Pretty much like all the other bureaucracy on the Potomac (EPA, TSA, etc.).

So, are they going to seize my stem cells and hold them in evidence for my trial? I suppose then they'll arrest my mother for supplying them to me...

Insanity knows no bounds.

So now they are finally admitting that the war on drugs is actually a war against people.

I don't understand the FDA's motives in this case. It's just a big "fuck you" to people with bone and joint pain. Are they just evil or what?

They stated directly why they did it. They have dropped all pretense. They did it to protect the profits of those drugs and drug companies who have been approved by the FDA. It seems that stem cell regeneration works better than any drug and is less expensive to boot. If more people used the better less expensive therapy it would throw the pharmaceutical industry's profits in chaos, therefore stem cell therapy must be stopped.

It's basically Wickard v Filburn applied to every individual's blood cells instead of every farmer's wheat crop.

Precisely. There should be no surprise at the mental/legal gymnastics the federal government is willing to do to protect its favored corporations.

According to their interpretation of interstate commerce, they can regulate my pooping into a bucket because it affects interstate toilet sales.
No ideas please , they will be all over this with a bucket tax and big govt bucket mnfg specifications .

Then there will be an armed bucket tax collection agency , with swat teams and APC's to pick on poor old men like myself who cannot muster the self discipline to make myself pay the new bucket tax ;)

Federal government already assumes ownership over your bodies. Did yall forget about the income tax?
