Thanks..
Webster Tarpley ruined it for me.
That guy is completely clueless on economics; he thinks the problems were deregulation and that FDR was a good guy.

What do you expect? He admitted to Alex Jones that he's a socialist. Why Alex even associates with him is beyond me.

I've watched about 40 mins of this and am really not impressed. Most of the economic talk is about the lack of regulation in the financial industry. Alex needs to replace most of his go-to economists because I don't think they know what they're talking about.

Regulators are precisely what corrupt institutions want because they can be bought cheap and rubber stamp everything those institutions do. Meanwhile those very regulations they put in place are burdensome to the smaller guy making it harder for him to compete with the big boys. Government regulations give "the illusion of security."

In the film, they talk about corruption among the government regulators. I don't think it ever occurred to them that the only way to solve this problem is to get rid of regulators altogether.

It's pretty clear to most people that financial institutions lobby congressman day and night and make large contributions to their campaigns. But then we want the government to regulate those same institutions? There's a disconnect here.

those are good points. I think the first hour of the film needed more structure, and of course to feature the economic policies of ron paul more.

he should also have shown how obama campaign was funded by goldman sachs 4 to 1 over mccain.

Can someone give me a run down of the film so I know if its worth watching. I got that the economics is shoddy, what about the rest of it.j

I've never really watched AJ's films, they seemed really lame, and a poor way of getting information versus... reading...

I enjoy getting different perspectives from those featured in the film.. Alan Watt is thought provoking.
