My daughter and I did an exit poll at our voting precinct this morning from 7:00-8:00 or so and then again from 11:50-1:00. Here are our results:

Democrat:
Obama- 17
Clinton- 11

Republican:
Mitt Romney- 35
Mike Huckabee- 35
John McCain- 25
Ron Paul- 7

I would conservatively estimate that approximately 60-65% of the total number of voters during these times participated in our exit poll.

Our poll found that 20 of the voters thought the economy was the most important issue with the war coming in second at 8 voters, then immigration, then moral issues with a few preferring a party above a specific issue. There were at least a dozen more specific determining factors.

Interestingly, of the Republican voters who indicated the economy as the most important issue, around half voted for McCain who has less of an idea about the economy than any other candidate. Go figure.

At our end of our county I have seen about 10 signs. One for Romney, one for Huckabee and the rest for Paul including one in my yard. The only TV ads I saw were for Obama for the last several days. The only radio ad I heard was McCain. I received 3 calls today: Romney, McCain and Huckabee.
