Hello, friends.
I see a few people on RPF have their own threads to post their general content. I like this idea, but I don't want to limit it to just posting. I want to interact, and if you know me at all here, I'm not really interested in electoral politics. I think it is unproductive as a first order of business for liberty. So, I don't want to confine myself to a grassroots forum, a religion forum, or certainly not a general discussion forum. The agorist in me feels like the marketplace forum will make a good home. This is my opinion, but I'm just generally tired of the race-baiting collectivists and monarchists that arrived in 2015 and seem to have succeeded in sucking all the air out of the room. It's created an atmosphere that fosters antagonism and blocks any attempts at relationship building and the real communication needed to form the trust needed to act. There's a bit of value in posting for general observers, but playing whack-a-demon online is just getting old (I'm 46). I'm certainly not learning anything replying to midwits other than how friggin' many there are.
So, I'm making this thread my new home and multi-purpose point of contact for anyone who wants to work with me to advance liberty, advance the cause of the gospel, network for buying/selling, etc.
What is "Everlasting Botstopper" other than the name of your personal thread? Are you actually selling/buying stuff?
I am generally selling my consulting. You can view my posts as work examples to determine whether I am worth it.
I am generally buying anything that I see as having value. Anyone is welcome to post directly in this thread if you would like to offer me something for sale directly, whether it's a physical object, you are wanting to partner, or you are wanting advice on jumpstarting a project. I will listen at least and give feedback if I have time.
I don't really expect to make money from this thread. My business doesn't make money anyway. It's just a cost sink at the moment, mostly for online services to host a few pro-bono websites we've built for friends. Contrarily, I am willing to put even more money into my business if I thought it might go somewhere (e.g., hosting a contest, buying stuff from people just to get things started, etc.). I'm not rich, but I do have a decent salary and disposable income.

Yes. My name is David. My C Corporation, a Kansas corporation officially named Shawnee Solari Inc. (D.B.A. Truth Arcade), was originally formed in 2018 to provide a container for "Metric Reserve," a sort of community reserve banking product I developed that was inspired and partially based on Ryan Fugger's "RipplePay" model. You can verify my company is in "good standing" (and its existence) on the Kansas Secretary of State's website. It was dormant until about 2020 when my wife and I tried to launch a couple of projects, but babies, work, and life have generally made these projects back-burner. We tried a 3D game, we tried a private Christian school, and some minor retail stuff. Now, we're working on a couple of things: I'm working on a sort of eSports/contest marketplace for local communities, and she's working on a task/chore planning app for parents with kids. Combined, we have five kids aged 3, 4, 12, 14, and 21.
I've been a strong proponent of identity transparency since the early days of this movement. Anonymity is the heart of darkness that poisons social media. This is why I always use my real face as my social media avatar now. Julian Assange was right long ago when he told us (paraphrasing), "Your privacy is gone, you are wasting time trying to get it back, your strategy should accept this fact and move on." But we haven't. When I was a kid, I'd look up names and addresses in the phone book; now people are frightened if someone rings a doorbell without texting first.

In general, my corporation can engage in literally any legal endeavor (like most corps). I can invest in people/companies, I can loan money, I can enter into contracts, etc. The mission of my corporation is really the same mission as a Christian church; it just isn't organized as one. So, it's "Christian" somewhere between Chick-fil-A and the Salvation Army. Here's a general list of ideas/projects I would be interested in starting/helping with. It is by no means exhaustive, but it'll give an idea of where my head is at:
YOUR PROJECT: Whatever your idea is, I might be willing to help or point you in the right direction. I'm generally not interested in standard business ideas, but I am interested in a "marketplace," so even if I don't want to be personally vested in your idea, I still might want to network or offer back-end services.
DIRECTORY PROJECT AND IDENTITY: I think a starting point for any movement, marketplace, or network of individuals starts with a directory. Think of the Chamber of Commerce. Someone (I would be willing) needs to maintain a curated, up-to-date list of who is actively doing things, whether it's selling services or just news in general (i.e., citizen journalism). With regard to identity, we really do need our own "book of life." One of the core reasons I believe Israel bombs hospitals is due to the record-keeping. The digital world is becoming more and more prominent. If we want to "own our data," we need to start having our own "phone book." Justice depends on identity. If they can erase every record of you or simply make up records about you, how do you fight? How can a Palestinian mother get justice for a dead baby she can't prove ever existed?
LOGISTICS HUB AND BANKING PROTOTYPE: The core of any functional marketplace is logistics and delivery. If you have a "directory," but everyone is only interacting online (where you can be digitally isolated, monitored, and compromised) and not meeting physically in person, you aren't really independent of the machine. Even my community banking model would rely on such a network. If we had a private "sound money" system independent of the government, it would require a reserve transfer network. We also need such a network for delivery of food and other critical goods. This network really needs to be independent of trains, trucking, etc. Granted, it will be slower, but in an SHTF scenario, this would form a civil defense-type backbone that could insulate Americans from political forces that use our infrastructure as a weapon against us. The reserve banking network might face legal hurdles (even though a strictly depository service is not "banking," they would paint it as such), but these could be dealt with/delayed by simply prototyping it with fake money (e.g., start with baseball cards or something fake to demonstrate the concept).
FUN STUFF: I'm very civil defense-minded in my goals. I don't think we need to start building after a collapse, but before. After is too late. So, #2 and #3 are near and dear to me. Everything else is just marketing. And in that vein, I'm open to anything that gets the word out, grows the community, builds excitement, or makes children smile. Game contests, dance contests, art contests, hosting a carnival, feeding the homeless, organizing a concert, fun protests, podcasts, websites, moneybombs... whatever it is, I'm game.
