Khanna, Massie to hold news conference with Epstein victims: 'People are going to be outraged'
California Democrat and Kentucky Republican seek House vote on bill requiring Epstein document disclosure

MANCHESTER, N.H. – With Congress back in session this week, Democratic Rep. Ro Khanna of California and Republican Rep. Thomas Massie of Kentucky are reigniting their push for the Justice Department to release files in the Jeffrey Epstein case.

Khanna says that "people are going to be outraged" after seeing a news conference he and Massie are holding on Wednesday with 10 victims of the late convicted sex offender.

The news conference is part of the effort by Khanna and Massie to pass through the House a bill requiring the Justice Department to release its files on the Epstein case.

"These victims haven't spoken for decades. When Epstein got that lenient plea deal, no one talked to the victims or their lawyers," Khanna said Monday in a Fox News Digital interview.

"My belief is, when the American people actually hear the victims for the first time, they are going to sympathize, their hearts are going to be broken, and all the victims are saying is for closure," he predicted.

Khanna argued that "there are a lot of other rich, powerful men, politicians, business leaders, who have committed abuse and who have not been held accountable. That's what we're going to hear on Sept. 3, and people are going to be outraged, and I don't see how, after that, the House can't vote for the release of these files."

The White House's handling of the Epstein case sparked outcry earlier this summer, after the Justice Department and the FBI appeared to close the book on their investigation after announcing they had uncovered no evidence of an Epstein client list.

The move infuriated many of President Donald Trump's MAGA supporters and allies – who had anticipated blockbuster revelations – with some calling for Attorney General Pam Bondi to be fired.

And the president aggravated some in MAGA world a month ago by calling the Epstein case a Democratic hoax and arguing that "PAST supporters" had "bought into this bullsh--."

Khanna and Massie are optimistic they have the votes.

"I'm confident we're going to get the 218 votes for the discharge petition," Khanna told Fox News Digital, as he was interviewed ahead of addressing the New Hampshire AFL-CIO's annual Labor Day breakfast.

"We've got 212 Democrats and 12 Republicans, including Marjorie Taylor Greene and Lauren Boebert. Look, this is not about Donald Trump, and it's not partisan. This is about justice for the victims of rich and powerful men who abused underage girls."

And he emphasized that "in this country, people want transparency. They want accountability. I'm confident we're going to get the 218 votes for the discharge petition."

Epstein died by suicide in a New York federal prison in 2019 while awaiting federal charges related to sex trafficking,

In the ensuing years, there has been intense speculation and theories on who else may have been involved in the sex ring the financier allegedly operated.

Why do I have a bad feeling that no names of any abusers other than Epstein will be named at this press conference?

Military jets are making passes over the Capitol while this going on...

Did they accuse anyone other than Epstein by name?

Yes, other perpetrators included:

J. Efry Epstein (not related)
Je Fry Epstein (also not related)
Jef Ry Epstein (related, but some really distant relative)
Jeffer E. Epstein (possibly an alias, but probably another suspect)

So yeah, lots of other suspects in this case. The FBI expects to be busy investigating this case for at least another 70 years, during which, they cannot make any comments about it, whatsoever, especially not to Congress...

I watched pretty much the entire Epstein alleged victim press conference.

They want transparency, but won't disclose the names of the people who allegedly participated in their own abuse.

They want to protect future victims, but won't name the names they know of because they want the DOJ to do it first.

They want transparency, yet are making "their own list" of alleged abusers that they will keep "confidential" for the victims.

They demand transparency, yet shut down (and kick out) a journalist for asking a question they don't like.

I sincerely and strongly believe there is a "there" there in the Epstein files. One witness, who was among the more credible, talked about the authorities withholding files of her own abuse from her in the sweetheart 2008 plea deal.

But with the help, or on the advice of these attorneys, this group may have successfully transformed the Epstein files in a "MeToo" 2.0.

The press conference was a debacle of teases, not a deluge of transparency from alleged victims.

Thread should be titled: "Epstein victims (plus other randos of unknown origin/motive) petition group of people named in Epstein list for redress of grievances re. said list"

I respect the intention here, but this is not a path to anything substantial happening.

People are still cosmically under-estimating the scale of the problem.

To put it into perspective, this scandal was live in the late 1980's, over 30 years ago. Did those perpetrators just evaporate into the ether? They certainly weren't caught/charged/imprisoned. So, 30 more years of those offenders going on to prey on children, with updated methods after nearly getting caught.

Or, how about this scandal from 20 years ago. This was at the heart of the single largest, most powerful and most well-funded institution on earth -- the US Military. You won't find any detailed information unless you dig archives like a maniac. Most of the info that used to be widely available on the Internet about this has been systematically scrubbed. Even Internet Archive is a minefield of endless 302 and 404 errors.

Remember, folks, the JE scandal is the ONLY scandal, and the ONLY bad guy in that scandal was JE himself. That's the single most important thing to know about the JE scandal or any scandal, or any conspiracy theory of any kind! JE killed himself, and there have been NO other scandals involving powerful people in the orbit of DC, ever. It's all figments of the imaginations of a ragtag bunch of les miserables, or hype invented by click-farmers. And you know how I know this? Because you, dear reader, do not have in your possession the fingerprints, DNA evidence, lineup photographs, home addresses, phone numbers, and signed confessions of JE's supposed co-perpretrators. So, that means that everything you write about the subject is pure speculation and is, at best, slander of JE's estate. After all, that's how the rich and powerful keep the riffraff silent in Britain. Welcome to Britain 2.0, formerly known as, "America"...

How quickly one abandons "leave the kids alone" when politics is on the line

I'm confused about why the victims are saying they're going to create their own list to release. Is this not something they should have done years ago?

Is that normally a responsibility of victims of crimes or is this crime somehow special

Well, yes, it is their responsibility. Modern, public-sector investigation is a dumpster fire and this case is just one of countless proofs.
