Endorsement from Kronkite?

We are having a discussion on another thread about the best possible endorsement for Ron. A lot of people are liking the idea of Walter Kronkite.

-- He is universally known among the over-40 crowd

-- He was the last truely trusted person in media

-- He broke the news of the JFK assassination, was watched by millions as Apollo 11 landed, and was the last oasis of fair reporting during the end of Vietnam and throughout Watergate

-- When he stated that he saw no way that the US could win Vietnam, Nixon supposedly said "If I've lost Kronkite, I've lost the middle class."

-- He has spoken out against the Iraq War and the War on (some) Drugs

-- Not to be morbid, but he is over 90 years old. He may really want to help end one more unjustified war.

Just a thought.

I read once that Kronkite said "We don't cover those Libertarians, those people are dangerous". I always hoped it wasn't true, but I think Kronkite might be CFR.

They definantly disagree on the issue of world governemnt. But many, if not most of us, disagree with Ron on at least one issue. And Kronkite's views on world government aren't going to occur to 99.999% of the people out there - what they are are going to see in such an endorsement is one word - integrity.
