I was thinking that SC might be make or break for the campaign (if Romney wins..) and what kind of endorsement could change the whole race?

Then it hit me: Who is the most popular Evangelical Christian right now?

That's right: TIM TEBOW.

Is there any way we could get an endorsement from him? Does anyone know someone close to him? Could we draft him or start a petition?

Just think of the media blow up if Tim Tebow endorses Ron Paul... He would win SC and a few other states in a landslide.

I'll take a Sarah Palin endorsement and be very happy with it.

HAHAHAHAHA! I was actually thinking the same thing. Even though I only watch college ball and never watch NFL, I thought it would be a campaign win if Tim put "Ron" and "Paul" on his eye stripes.

Will it happen? I dunno, does Tim have any political leanings?

Apparently other people have thought of this already. I believe Tebow has said he will not endorse anybody, it would be sweet tho. As I said with other high profile people tho, better no one than someone other than Ron Paul.

I follow him on twitter. I should send him a Ron Paul video. Which is the best one for conservative Christians? I know that Chuck Baldwin endorses RP, I want to show that video to people I know.

Good for him.

As he shouldn't, he probably knows his opinion (for no reason) carries too much weight right now.

SC is not make or break for Romney. The only way it could be is if he wins by a ridiculous landslide (like with more than 50%, which he won't) or if he finishes in 4th place (which he won't) Anything in between and it is on to Florida in pretty much the same position that he is in now.

You are also SEVERELY overestimating Tim Tebow appeal. Liking him for several 4th quarter comebacks and voting for someone for preident because he is are two VERY different things.

The fact that you actually used the word "landslide" shows that you really don't quite understand the reality of the situation.

There are also quite a few peple who hate Tim Tebow..including many Conservatives. Icluding myself. He can worship as he pleases, bu MANY sports fans have to laugh at a moron who says that God helped him throw that winning toughdown (because we all know God treats the world like his own game of "The Sims" micro-managing every little thing) and then doesn't get mad at God for that game ending interception that he threw.

Even most Christians hate people like that. And I am not talking about the simple kneel he does. It is all his interviews. He is a creationist wacko and that is not the way to get votes. The vast majority of voters, including Republicans know that the world existed 8000 years ago and that Adam and Eve did not appear out of thin air and that dinosaurs do exist and that yes...the Earth DOES revolve around the sun and not the other way around. (I am not saying that Tebow necessarily believes in all those things because I don't know, nor do I care, but that is how he is perceived.)

Wrong.

The world is only 6000 years old.

There are only a few meters of sea sediment on the ocean floors. If the oceans had been around for 3 billion years, there should be kilometers of sea debri accumulation. You've been brainwashed by the liberal media wacko evilutionist idiots.

I am going g towork on the assumption that you are joking. Otherwise you ARE a joke. It is not even up for debate at this point. The workd is over 6000 year sold. Trying to say otherwise is seriously like you coming here and screaming that 2+2=5 and insisting you are right.

Please...for Ron Paul's sake, never sugggest that the world is 6000 years old while wearing any Ron Paul shirts, buttons, etc.

Though I ahve to admit...the sea sediment concept is at least a new one to me. Just as idioitc, sure. But at least not the same old tired crap. But it is just one of those things where a wacko uses his ignorance of science (and yes...you are clearly ignorant of science) as proof of your wacko ideas. You are like hte morons who insist that there was a second shoter on the grassy knoll because JFK's head went back and to the left which means he had to get shot from the front/right. When the actual SCIENCE shows that his head movement definitively backs up the notion of a signle shooter...or at least the fatal bullet coming from the direction of the book depository, since the bullet enters cleanly, then exits out of a huge hole that takes brain matter with it. And since parts of the brain are exiting at high speed forward and to the right, simple conservation of momentum says that the rest of the head MUCH go back and to the left.

In your case, it is a baffling misunderstanding of how sediment works.

But look...there is nothing wrong with ignorance. It is stupidity that is a problem.

Now...if you WERE joking, then congrats on the trolling. You played the dumb guy role very convincingly.

Regardless. Let's play make believe and say we live in a world of unicorns, leprechauns, and all sorts of make believe. A world that is only 6000 years old. (It is even tough for me to WRITE that since my brain refuses to be stupid.) That doesn't change the fact that over 90% of voters think (know) that is a joke. And therefore, getting an endorsement from a dumb jock football player who represents that wackoness is not going to help things.

I think you are severely underestimating how stupid some people are and would vote for a candidate precisely because someone like Tim Tebow endorses them. Its the same concept with media personalities. I mean just look at the "Santorum Surge"

re: Tebow, an endorsement would be worth a million primary votes, guaranteed. A lot of people believe he is Heaven-sent and would follow him to the ends of the earth, they are that starved for a God-fearing role model.

my last word on this (hopefully) before his endorsement and/or SC primary date arrives, whichever comes first:

If I could choose between a Jim DeMint endorsement and a Sarah Palin one, I think DeMint would ultimately have more impact, especially if his endorsement puts Paul in the lead in SC.

A Paul win in SC would immediately change the entire conversation, as that would make Paul the front-runner for real. I believe Jim DeMint can make that happen with a well-timed endorsement, and that could very well change the course of history.
