This guy does not know when to shut up. He's making our takeover of the GOP that much easier. He has no idea how much he was like FDR.

This was the final chapter of Bush's presidency, and is correspondingly the final chapter of his memoir, "Decision Points." As Bush describes it, he had just been told by Treasury Secretary Hank Paulson that they should spend hundreds of billions of taxpayer dollars to buy up mortgage assets, and he approved the plan in full. "If we're really looking at another Great Depression," he recalls saying, "you can be damn sure I'm going to be Roosevelt, not Hoover."

How does a man of such ignorant intellect become a leader? The question leaves me to not doubt a conspiracy of some kind.

If we accept the theory that government is a reflection of "society", then he became a leader because of the ignorance of the majority of voters. ;)

Yeah, there is a conspiracy, take a look at the people who voted him in and "the conspiracy" will unearth itself....

True, But who set and continues to project the curtain that keep human sheep from becoming human beings?

For each individual who voted him in, it is that individual that set a "curtain" for himself.

Look, we are Ron Paul supporters, because we opened our eyes. There is no "curtain". We are not some special elite group allowed to see what others don't. We just ask questions and actually desire to find out the answers. And it takes such a little effort to find them. There are libraries, magazines, entire think tanks that supply endless information about govt. hypocricy and dishonesty. And if you're too lazy to get up off your ass and go to the library, there is freaking internet.

Anything you want, anybody you want is just a click away. Twenty-four hours of unlimited uninterrupted information. And what do people do with that? They post naked pictures of themselves and beg us to "leave Britney alone".

The conspiracy is us. Our stupidity, ignorance, lazyness and hatred for this world in hopes that after we die, some other better place without our inherent problems will be granted to us.

We, the people, are at fault.

...And thus taken advantage of. Proponents of coercion however do exist to play on such human weaknesses that you pointed out, sin unto sin.

he really admitted he was a lousy president? I still say FDR , Wilson and LBJ were worse than Dubya, but he was the worst Republican , even worse than Lincoln

regarding Hoover, he believed in peace; unlike FDR and Dubya

had Hoover ran and won in 1940 the USA would not have entered WWII
