DrinkingWithBob: Gay Marriage is no big deal

Gay marriage is a big deal. Whether the state happens to rubber stamp it or not is a minor deal. People have the right to associate with each other however they want. Its still bad for the family as an institutution though. As Dr. Paul says, you've got to change the morality, not the laws.

I always find it fascinating on what humans are capable of doing, or not doing.

I agree with Bob. Mind your own business. This "family institution" stuff is just code words for running the lives of people other than yourself.

That depends on who is using the word "Family institution." The family, along with the church, are the bedrock of opposition to an all-encompassing state.

People can associate with whoever they want, and I don't have to endorse it or agree with it. I won't use force against them. That's all they have a right to demand (Well, they have a right to demand that NOBODY use force against them.)

I couldn't disagree more. The majority of churches are in bed with the state. Didn't you start a topic about that very thing? About how they are yet another propaganda arm of the state?

They receive tax exemptions and are lobbying for one union to receive tax benefits while lobbying that another union doesn't receive it.
