Mar 15 Politics1com: TX CD-23: Physician & conservative activist Robert Lowry (R) launches run vs freshman Cong Pete Gallego (D).

He ran in 2010 but lost the primary to Rep. Francisco Canseco. Rep. Canseco lost in a close race in 2012 50-46%. This district voted for Romney 51-48% in 2012.

Dr. Robert Lowry has launched a run against Gallego. He was endorsed by Dr. Ron Paul in 2010. For those of you who don't remember Dr. Lowry that well (I didn't know who he was until I did some research today), here are some good websites to get you started (a lot of these are from his run in 2010):

I'm colorblind but it never hurts to ask - can a white guy win this district?

It's interesting that Canseco lost even as Romney won the seat. TX-23 might get more GOP friendly if the Supreme Court upholds the legality of the legislature's map. It's also the kind of seat that will be far more GOP in a mid-term.
