In tracking major presidential candidates visiting early primary states The Hotline
reports as of Dec. 12th that Ron Paul is lagging far behind the other contenders. For example, in Iowa since Nov. 2004 Gov Mitt Romney has visited 41 times, Gov. Mike Huckabee 27 times and Sen. John McCain 21 times. Thus far in the same time frame Dr. Paul has just 6 registered trips to Iowa.
In New Hampshire the pattern is the same. Gov. Romney has visited the Live Free or Die State 33 times, Mayor Guiliani 22 times, Sen. McCain 20 times and our leader, Congressman Paul 10 times. The figures are the same for Florida, Neveda and South Carolina even though the period monitored is just from January 2007 to present.
The Bottom Line, is with the Congressional Christmas Recess starting next week, Dr. Paul must and I say must spend more time in the next three weeks in Iowa and New Hampshire, meeting the voters up close and personal. He needs to personally ask for their vote!!!
I ask the campaign staff to strongly recommend to Dr. Paul that this is the one true course to victory. The Legions of RP Supporters need him on the ground and the voters of Iowa and New Hampshire need to learn about him face to face!!!
PS and FYI
In Florida the candidate visits since January 2007 were Guiliani 19, Romney 16, Huckabee 8, Hunter, McCain and Thompson 7 each, Dr. Paul 4 and finally Tancredo 1 visit. In Nevada, Romney and Hunter had 4 visits each, McCain, Thompson and Dr. Paul 2 each, and Guiliani and Huckabee 1 each. Finally, in South Carolina Sen McCain leads the way with 14 visits, Gov. Romney has 12, Huckabee and Hunter have 10 each, Mayor Guiliani with 9 followed by Dr. Paul with 6 and Sen. Thompson with 5 and Rep. Tancredo with 1.
