Dr. Kurt: Why I Will Never Choose to Vaccinate my Own Son and Any Future Kids my Wife and I Ha

Dr. Kurt is a chiropractor. Hardly a medical professional.

Chiropractor profession

Chiropractic care (which comes from the Greek word meaning "done by hand") dates back to 1895. However, the roots of the profession can be traced all the way back to the beginning of recorded time.

Chiropractic was developed by Daniel David Palmer, a self-taught healer in Davenport, Iowa. Palmer wanted to find a cure for disease and illness that did not use drugs. He studied the structure of the spine and the ancient art of moving the body with the hands (manipulation). Palmer started the Palmer School of Chiropractic, which still exists today.

Education

Doctors of chiropractic must complete 4 to 5 years at an accredited chiropractic college. Their training includes a minimum of 4,200 hours of classroom, laboratory, and clinical experience.

The education provides students with an in-depth understanding of the structure and function of the human body in health and disease.

The educational program includes training in the basic medical sciences, including anatomy, physiology, and biochemistry. The education allows a doctor of chiropractic to both diagnose and treat patients.

Chiropractic Philosophy

The profession believes in using natural and conservative methods of health care, without the use of drugs or surgery.

Yeah, she'll take the opinion of some random unknown guy on the internet who likely couldn't get into a real medical school over the word of thousands of immunologists and communicable disease specialists every time.

Because she's educated, you see.

If you met the doctors we have in AZ you would know that any idiot with money can get into a real medical school. Being a doctor does not exclude someone from being an incompetent fool.

Paul Robin Krugman
  • B.A. summa cum laude in economics from Yale University
  • Ph.D. from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT)
  • Professor of Economics and International Affairs at the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs at Princeton University
  • Won the Nobel Memorial Prize in Economic Sciences

THE MAN IS A HIGHLY EDUCATED IDIOT.

Ha ha ha! The lengths you guys have to go to in order to avoid the simple truth - vaccines work. They are incredibly safe, incredibly cheap, and probably the most important development in the prevention of disease in the history of the world.

It's pathetic.

That's an opinion. Vaccines are safe and effective. That's a fact.

I have never said that vaccines don't work. Insinuating that I have is stupid of you.

I am offering no opinion on this chiropractor or his views on vaccines. I really don't care, I make my own decisions for me and my children.

I am saying that it is foolish to declare someone smart or stupid based on their education and credentials.

Maybe this guy had no interest in being an M.D. and writing prescriptions for drugs all day long. That would not mean he isn't bright.

If you want to judge people by their degrees instead of their words, thoughts and actions, go right ahead. Do you also hold the view that Ron Paul doesn't know anything about economics because he is educated as a medical doctor?

A chiropractor certainly is a medical professional. Or course, that doesn't mean they are qualified as an expert on vaccines.

Yes, I should have been more specific. They are experts on the spine. I have seen many. But, I would not defer to their opinion on vaccines.

Fair enough. I just couldnt' let that comment stand as is. I've known many people (my wife included) that suffered needlessly for years and rebuffed my suggestions to see a chiropractor -- saying they were quacks. Many of those same people years later finally saw said "quacks" and were finally fixed/relieved of their issues. But I wouldn't take vaccine advice from them either.

Some are quacks and can do a lot of damage. But, there are others who are God-sent.

Thomas E. Woods, Jr. holds a B.A. from Harvard University and a Ph.D. from Columbia University, both in History. Hardly an economic professional.

any nobody claims he is one, and speaking of that, who is an example of a person who's used Austrian theory to profit?
