Doug Wead: Why Rand Paul can beat Hillary Clinton

^This^This^This^This. Thank you for stating this with clarity. I can only hope that Rand has thought of this and knows what he's getting into. If simply winning the Presidency is his goal then he's lost before we've even gotten started. I'm guessing he's a few steps ahead of us, however..

I would be astonished if Rand didn't go into this eyes wide open. Rand gets little credit for being the savviest political strategist of our generation - that he is the front runner, with all the long knives out for him, is practically a miracle.

No problem. That's been something on my mind ever since after the 2008 election, and it's been bugging me ever since. Getting a lover of liberty into the office is only one part of the equation, the other half is not letting him and his philosophy be blamed for our country's failures.

Which, you would've thought by now the people would blame the normal Republicans and Democrats we've been dealing with for decades and look for someone new, but I guess they're just not bright enough for that.

Well, I'm not sure about savviest, but he's doing way better way sooner than I thought he would. He's even got Bill Maher praising him for his position on Ukraine, so I'm quite pleased with performance so far, especially considering how fast he's come up in only the past year. With our support, I have no doubt he can make an impact in the direction this country's heading.
