even if he feels some party loyalty to the original republican party, what it has become is nothing he approves of and he hates how they treat him and his supporters
going independent would not be running away, it would be starting new.
possibly ending the two party system of america.

with all the money and support we have given him, i feel he absolutely needs to go independent and spread the message even more.

you have a black presidential candidate and a woman presidential candidate right now as front runners
that proves this election is bound to be different and do the impossible, an independent run would be perfect
especially with a mccain-hillary matchup. so many people hate both sides it might actually work

with our dedication i have no doubt we could get paul in the debates. he can take care of both hillary and mccain once he is in the debates. even if he were not to win, he would reach even more americans, furthering the reach of his message.

sorry to start a whole new thread but so many people here are just content with congress, but we could really use both right now. with the economy and everything, ron paul as president and commander in chief could make a huge difference.

He doesn't owe us anything

But by far the best thing for our country would be for Ron Paul to win the presidency. It is extremely possible for him to win if he runs iNDY.

so if we pledge our support, money, time, effort, all of us, to fight with him should he choose to declare an iNDY race--he might do it

I sure hope so. Otherwise I will be getting deployed to Iran after I get back from my next tour in Iraq, if I (and my brother and brother-in-law) make it back alive

What more would it take for people to stfu about this?

Does Ron himself need to knock on your door and tell you face to face?

Not happening, end of story - many of us have been stressing this, don't you listen?

Small chance at winning GOP vs No Chance of winning as an Independent, hmmmm

He owes us diddly.

He's a Republican, not the pawn of our various personal agendas.

No. He can't lose both the presidency and the congressional seat. Remember - he fought HARD for the congressional seat too.

This is a revolution fought in increments, and we can't give up gained ground right now. We need an RPR Congress. That is powerful too.

i didnt really mean it like that.
i will never in my life give up on his message and this movement
i just think he could do great going independent, especially with how much we will all still support him (even those who say he should not, you know they will not object if he announced)

He's been fighting for us in Congress for 10 terms. He owes us nothing. We owe it to keep this movement going from here on out with the message he brought to us as our platform.

Let's see, he's already given 30 years fighting for liberty and freedom. He's faced this bias that we have seen a TINY slice of during his candidacy for over 30 years. YOU believe he owes you more? This is a joke right?

If you wanted him to run independent you had to pay for it. He made that as clear as he could. The money isn't there.

I know you will cause you guys kick major ass

You know...even IF just IF he were to run third party, he CAN'T SAY that now, just as millions of conservatives are left looking for a REAL conservative candidate to support after romney dropped out.

A big part of their concern is that they support him only to see him leave the party for a third party run, OR that he's not a true republican to begin with. This is a bit of campaign propaganda as well you realize.

Either way. I don't know why so many of you have been operating under the assumption of a third party run for so long, after all it's not like he's EVER said anything different.

I secretly have hoped it's true as well, but DUH the best strategy is to carry on as if it is NOT going to happen. That has always been the road to success.

If he declared that he was running iNDY (on March 4th or whenever) we and hundreds of thousands of others would give him the goddamned mother fucking money!

No. He has always said he had "no intention" of running 3rd party and always talked of being a Republican.

Actually I think we owe Ron Paul our support. We need to follow him and stay in the GOP.

i titled it wrong.
i do not think he owes us more at all
i just think the best thing for the message to spread is to go independent
then i believe grassroots can organize and fundraise well enough to get him in the general election debates
that would reach all americans

remember, if we go off of past results, it is impossible for a black or woman to win the presidency. but that will happen if paul is not the GOP nominee...

The only way he woould owe us a 3rd Party run would be if we raised him $23 Million in January like he asked. We didn't even come close to that, so he doesn't come close to owing us anything.
