Doesnt Make sense...? Anyone explain this fact to me please...

Ok so recent polls have showed 75-80% of Americans dont want the war in Iraq....but yet the most PRO WAR candidate John McCain that has stated over and over that he wants to stay in Iraq for ever how long it takes..."100 years"..wtf...wins with ease...this doesnt add up?

Can somone please tell me wtf is goin on? Why do these numbers clash so badly?...it just doesnt make sense to me at all, i really dont thing McCain is "really" winning this thing....

The most recent numbers I've seen, by the way, are 30% of Republicans want a withdrawal within a year, 66% of independents, and 90% of Democrats.
