Do not pose for photos with Matt Collins or he will claim credit for what you do.

I thought it was harmless to pose for a photo with Matt Collins at CPAC 2011. Turns out he took the photo and claimed that he 'advised my campaign' which is a lie. Thanks to a RPF member for bringing this to my attention, I do not know if they want credit so I will not thank them by name. Thank you, you know who you are, and if you decide to identify yourself that's good too! :)

Pretty egregious.

Aside from the Pauls, Matt Collins has advised multiple Ron Paul-style Republicans; including NC State Legislator Glen Bradley,[9] Thomas Massie and Adam Kokesh.[10]

Is any of that true?

Well. I don't know anything about this one except for what you're saying here, Gunny Freedom. I suppose it's something you'll need to work out with Mr. Collins.

I do want to add something here, though, and it is something that we see a lot these days. A lot of people like to go around telling everyone that they have advised political campaigns. I don't know if it's one of those lookit me kind of things or one of those do as I do because I feel special or what but it seems like bumping into a politician or a friend of a politician on his way to the buffet table may equate to some sort of advisory experience. Is a hoot. Nobody is humble anymore. Is becoming non-existent.

I'm kind of mixed on Matt. There are times when I admire what he does but then we get these romper room shenanigans around here and knocks me for a loop.

I was just watching a video of Matt playing a cat and mouse game with some lobbyists wife in a parking lot and I'll tell you, I laughed my ass off. It was great. Especially when he did the old rope-a-dope move and ducked into the doorway behind her when she came out of it and walked right by him without seeing him. I cannot tell you how hard I laughed. Of course, the situation itself wasn't funny but just the cat and mouse game. That kind of stuff I tend to give Matt some credit on because nobody does that stuff.

It's like the smallest one out of the bunch has the biggest grapefruits. That kind of thing I can respect.

I'm going to be going dark for a little bit, I have to roll out to a job 5hr away in Aiken SC I'll be there all week. Can't post much while I'm on the road or working my rear end off on 12hr jobs. I just left several conversations open and didn't want folks to think I was abandoning them :p

i found that rejected wikipedia entry too.

I think that it is interesting that the wiki entry was submitted but then deleted. I am wondering why the wiki community did not allow that entry.

Tube??

I also find it curious that he posed with Adam Kokesh and took credit on that campaign as well back in 2011. Yet, he stands by Benton who banded Kokesh from Rally for the Republic.

So serious internal strife going on there.

I like Matt Collins having spent time personally with him (no photo op cause I like to chill behind the scenes). But I have to wonder what is going on with him. Seems all the exposure is getting him a little breathless these days.

I personally don't care for the internal rigamaroll, BUT, I do find it interesting to see how politicking shapes folks' personal lives.

I endorsed and advised McConnell. He never responded. Guess he didn't see my post. ;)

I am throwing my full support behind McConnell in this race. In exchange, I expect McConnell to pay more attention to the desires of the actual people of the United States, and not the cronies at the US Chamber of Commerce, the Wall St. Banksters and the Military-Industrial Complex.

Then he trash-talked your second campaign in the same thread where he was slamming Tom Woods for allegedly bad-mouthing a campaign that Tom had worked for in the past.

He definitely has the hang of the just-us double standard thing, does he not?

I think right after the 7:10 mark or so is the Collinz rope-a-dope. Now, that's damned good stuff right there. I don't care what anyone says. The standoff where she said she was going to make a citizens arrest on Matt there at the 3:00 mark had me choking. 8:25 got me to chuckling too. Heh...

Is he stalking the girl stalking him, or what?

In the past I've seen him claim, he talked Rand into running for Senate, advised Tomas Massie, and "won" Minnesota for Ron in 2012. lol

I can only share Matt's description of events, Clyde. You'll have to watch the video in it's entirety and decide for yourself. Seems to me, as an observer, that Matt caught her taking pictures of license plates of campaign workers and after Matt called her out on it, she appeared to follow him around to see where he was parked to snap a picture of his plates too. And so then it appears that Matt tried to lose her in the parking lot and it turned into hide n seek.

From Matt's recollection of events....

On Friday July 25th 2014 Tennessee State Representative Charles Sargent and his re-election campaign manager harass, stalk, and act in a very creepy manner towards myself and their opposition campaign workers.

Something like this I'd truly like to see parking lot camera film just to see Matt's rope-a-dope move into the doorway in all of it's glory. Seems like he didn't expect her to come through the door and he kind of had to two step it into the cubby hole. Damn, that'd be great to see.

His avatar is a cartoon of himself - so I guess art really does imitate life ...
