Did any just see Coburn?

Coburn is gaining credibility lately with me. Didn't he vote on our side on indefinite detention?

I expect a full report on my desk within an hour, Captain. :)

This. Vague thread is vague.

this.

besides, Gingrich is of the undead. He has nails aplenty in his coffin. It will take a stake through the heart, a silver bullet, or ENOUGH nails to drag his coffin beneath the waves of the sea, I am starting to think.

from the linked article:

Oklahoma Sen. Tom Coburn says he “will have difficulty supporting (Gingrich) as president of the United States” based on his experience serving in the House during Gingrich’s years as speaker.

“The thing is there are all type of leaders. Leaders that instill confidence, leaders that are somewhat abrupt and brisk, leaders that have one standard for the people they are leading and different standard for themselves,” Coburn said on Fox News Sunday. “I found his leadership lacking.”

Gingrich served as speaker of the House from 1995 until he resigned 1999, a turbulent period in Congress marked by bitter partisan fighting, impeachment, government shutdowns, but also compromise on policy. Gingrich stepped down after his party unexpectedly lost seats in the 1998 midterms election, amid pressure from his Republicans colleague and ethics accusations.

Tom Coburn does not like Gingrich. At all. http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-503544_162-20015074-503544.html

Based on his voting record I could see him supporting Ron, but I suspect he's not entirely sure whether or not Ron is actually a serious candidate - I doubt he pays attention to Iowa or New Hampshire polling.

That said, if anyone is from Oklahoma, a serious, well thought out letter to Sen. Coburn outlining Ron's viability and his commitment to slashing the budget might go a long way.

Sorry, limited access this morning, but got all excited watching him on Fox. Said he didn't like Gingrich's leadership and would have trouble supporting him as a leader.

I don't see why not. He has had some good votes.

^^ Didn't click on page 2 to see someone literally said that already, lol.

Coburn is known as "Dr. No" of the Senate.

I will have to check on how he voted on the detention bill.

Hoax, you think a letter would do so? I will think about it.
