not exactly a ringing endorsement, but I'll take it.

Neither of the two accidental candidates in the 11th District , which stretches from Livonia to Pontiac, is ready for Congress. But the McCotter fiasco assures that one of them will go there. Republican Kerry Bentivolio and Democrat Syed Taj lack experience and depth. So we are left to select the candidate who would vote as we'd prefer on the issues. That is Kerry Bentivolio , a retired school teacher who, in his interview with us, did not display the eccentricities or radical ideas he was accused of by his Republican primary opponent. Taj, a physician and Canton Township board member, is simply too liberal for our taste. We expect both parties will field more competitive candidates in 2014.

Pft, we'll get Rand to come to the district next time and drop a dime on any potential primary challenger. Plus, the leadership of our local and state parties will be shifting before then.
