Democratic Super PAC hits Rand Paul with “Back to the Nineties” ad

wow! very impressive. Rand has already garnered an attack ad and he hasn't even announced he's running for president yet.

This may be a precedent.

The Bush family crime syndicate are not still actively campaigning for multiple offices? That's news to me. How absolute ridiculous, that Rand Paul is still harping on Bill Clinton getting a blow job. Of all the things that Rand weasels out on taking a stand against, this is what his strategy is? Good lord. What a joke.

Hmm I'm pretty sure I said GWB not the Bush family, or is every Bush held responsible for what GWB did? BILL CLINTON, is actively campaigning, GEORGE W. BUSH, is not. Do you get it?

The ad is pretty pathetic. Its just trying to set the meme "it was a long time ago, move on" but the fact they're spending money trying to create that meme shows that Rand was making them nervous.

As I say in practically every post regarding this topic - them defending or shrugging off Bill's actions is further proving Rand's point that the Dems are hypocrites on the "war on women".

That's what I'm saying. This is really stupid on their part. If I were Rand, I would roll around with snapshots of how wonderful the 90's were compared to today, and re-frame the debate by embracing the attack and folding it back on them.

Except that the Clintons were in the White House for most of the wonderful 1990s.

Was this just youtube video or was it real ad? Did "they", "them", "then", "when" actually pay for airing that video?

I was expecting a clip of 90's era Rand saying something completely raw and outrageous. If I paid for this ad I'd want a refund.

Rand just needs to learn how to Look Forward, Not Backward.

They'll send Dana Bash out to interview Rand while she acts all concerned about the newsletters.

Meanwhile at Salon, David "JOURNO-LIST" Weigel is issuing a threat: If Rand Paul 2016 gains traction, he and other lefty bloggers will launch a volley of smear articles:

"Here's my point. As long as Paul's in the Senate, as long as he's a fascinating, quotable, and potentially successful libertarian iconoclast, stories about his associations and his movement will be relegated to the think-piece pile. If he's a credible presidential candidate? The jackals run loose, and they know where to hunt. Years of experience and evidence tell us that Paul can be rattled by that. His potential opponents know this."

And a bunch of us libertarian amateurs have dealt with them before. Handily.

Bring. It. On.

I've seen the equation. Them playing Concern Troll + us playing Whack-A-Troll = thousands and thousands of new Blue Republicans. I guess they either haven't figured this equation out yet or they're too arrogant to admit it.

It's not often you see such candor in a MSM piece. Weigel is declaring war on Rand.

Last I saw it was called "Cabalist". It's probably some other name now. But the "J" list of beltway pundits doesn't really change.

Yes, we musn't ever let THAT philosophy really gain traction to the White House. Good heavens what if it ends up working? We'll all be out of work!! So we'll just cap him at the knees and let people think they have a voice.

This is looking to today actually. It's an counter-attack on the "war on women" BS the Democrats have been pushing for the last 4 years.

The democrats keep pushing it while they bring out Billy the creep to campaign for them.
