I love this article. The last four paragraphs are especially great of a virtual endorsement as any I have seen yet:

But regardless of what you think of his policy positions, you have to respect the guy’s style. Most politicians would consider going on record to denounce FEMA on the eve of a major hurricane nothing short of political suicide. And Paul’s consistent willingness to commit political suicide in order to stand by his convictions is exactly what this country is missing from its leaders.
If Obama had been truly willing to be a one-term president in order to accomplish great things, as he had once suggested he would be, the parameters of our economy and political landscape would likely be drawn far differently from how they are now.
Personally I don’t want to see Roe V. Wade overturned or FEMA disbanded like Ron Paul does. But I do wish that all politicians had one tenth Paul’s integrity and the guts to stand by their convictions with unwavering consistency.
Then again, Obama was mighty idealistic before moving into the White House. Though Paul likely won’t win the election next year (even though he insisted on Fox News today “I’m in it to win it”) it would be interesting to see how Ron Paul the candidate changed in the Oval Office. If the position can corrupt Paul, we’d know it can corrupt anyone.
