Dave Agema (MI-GOP National Committeeman-Elect) Endorses Kerry Bentivolio

Random newspaper headlines? How about all the newspaper headlines?

And why are you repeatedly ignoring that the candidate herself said that the GOP solicited her?

Candidates say that type of stuff all the time. She's suggesting she has deep support within the party, not saying she has the official support of an official structure of the party. The same for the headlines. It's just informal, less rigorous,
speech.
Again, you aren't differentiating party structures from a collective of local bosses/elected officials/former legislators.

I'd strongly suggest you to read those newspaper articles if you still haven't done it. It was a bunch of people - some without any official position in the party structures - meeting in hotel rooms. It's very clear in the article you cite that by "the GOP" they mean "a few prominent republicans, including some party officials".

I'll ask you for the last time: if you claim a party structure endorsed Cassis, just name it. It's very simple. Was it the RNC? The MIGOP? A county structure? Which one?
If you can't do that, I think we can all assume nothing like that happened - and I know for a fact it didn't. Actually we have people from the district here that can easily verify that. Or you can ask Bentivolio's campaign.

The newspapers are wrong, the head of the EC is wrong, the candidate is wrong. Everybody is wrong, but you. I think we all get that now.

Here's a thought - go ask Patterson which party he was speaking on behalf of? I am assuming it's the one that elected him. But of course, he's probably just confused too.

YOu can have the last word here. I'm done with your obtusiveness. I'm still of the mindset that the GOP should not meddle in the primaries, but as long as Agema endorsed somebody, I'm happy that he endorsed Bentivolio. Agema has a bad case of Islamaphobia, so this wasn't an easy decision for him.

No, you're the only one who's wrong.

A word of advice: when you hear or read a politician use sweeping expressions like "the party" or "the republican party" don't assume he means the official party structures. That's almost never the case. Case in point: Patterson is County Executive. He's a public official. He doesn't talk for any party structure. Just like when Rand or Ron Paul say "we, republicans" they aren't talking in the name of the RNC. This seems quite easy to understand.

The articles you quote are quite clear that what happened was a bunch of party officials/elected officials/former elected officials meeting to get behind an establishment candidate.

You'll never come up with the name of the party structure that picked or endorsed Cassis because that has never happened. I'll feel glad to provide you the contact of the Chairman of the Oakland County Republican Party if you still have doubts about that.
