In the last two days, we've begun to mobilize the "Win In South Carolina" forum of the grass-roots forum. In the next two days we will have projects in the formation stage for a hard, local campaign that is directly targeted towards South Carolina citizens. Our goals are to neglect the corporate media entirely and utilize strategic, South Carolina-specific initiatives to bond directly with the South Carolina people and effectively spread Ron Paul's message to them.
We've established a list of every newspaper of South Carolina, and are continuing to discover more avenues for advertisement. We're beginning to assemble key inserts to run in every South Carolina newspaper as consistently as we can manage (hopefully every day if we can get every supporter to focus on our South Carolina campaign, as we have two weeks to successfully win South Carolina). We are thinking full-page inserts for convience of placement as well as prominence. Ronpaulbillboards is hitting the state and we'll be coordinating efforts in Win In South Carolina as well.
Illegal immigration is a very local issue in South Carolina. Beaufort County very recently passed an ordinance to deter the hiring of illegal immigrants, and it should have the focus of the rest of the state media as well. If we play to this local issue that is also our national one, specifically calling it out and spreading the Ron Paul message with its assistance, we will reap what we sow and then some.
We have the assistance of some motivated individuals who are very familiar with the local South Carolina. We have personal contact with a very well-known jazz musician and music teacher in the state that we will try working with to help us campaign in South Carolina's univeristies. We are identifying key South Carolina native celebrities and determining how we can work with them to promote Ron Paul for us in South Carolina and gather the state's collective attention. We will contact voters through calls and letters to the editor and inform them of America's present state, who Ron Paul is, and why we need him as President. We are also going to show Mark Sanford that the American people need him to lead America into a better age with Ron Paul!
We've realized that the most effective way to have Ron Paul elected is to take him to the people. We've learned from Iowa and are beginning to put full focus on doing what we can to directly impact voter turnout in South Carolina. A win in South Carolina will seal the deal for this campaign if we can all work together in an organized, coordinated, effective manner to get out the vote. National attention from winning the most pivotal state in the campaign will lend intense effort towards winning Florida, setting us up for Super Tuesday. The only way we can win Super Tuesday is to receive prominent national coverage. Winning South Carolina, practically necessary to win the Republican nomination, will set us up for success.
We will only win with a coordinated, organized, effective effort between the empowered, unprecedented grass-roots effort, and the wealthy official campaign which is centered around the Man, Dr. Ron Paul!
We need to open productive lines of communication, as much as is permitted, so that we can work together. We feel that the biggest failure of the grass-roots is that we have not focused on directly impacting voter turnout in primary states, and that the biggest failure of the official campaign is that they have our greatest resource, Ron Paul, and that they are not using him. We can understand waiting until the strategic 11th hour to checkmate this campaign, but we need assurance that South Carolina is the number one, strategic priority of this campaign! We need to know that the official campaign will use our money to get Ron Paul's message out, directly to the South Carolina people. We feel that the most effective manner in which to accomplish this is a good, old fashioned, whistlestop campaign.
Ron Paul needs to be kissing babies, telling the parents that he delivers babies and he will act to protect their freedom!
We all know that Ron Paul is a cunning candidate for office. He has already taken on the entire GOP machine nearing the height of its rise in a recent run for Congress and shown them that he is better than them. With the help of the grassroots, Ron Paul can topple the entire federal government and return this country to its Constitutional intention!
South Carolina has a rich history of being patriots! Ron Paul's message was created in South Carolina! We can use this to our advantage! We all need to realize that its all or nothing in South Carolina, and that if we win, we've won!
I'm thinking we need some kind of daily briefing meeting, something where the coordinators can inform each other of our projects, between the grassroots and the official campaign, so we can work together to win. Communication and organization are the key to success. We won't assist each other beyond simply promoting awareness of each other!
