Cruz misses self-imposed deadline for releasing tax returns

Republican presidential candidateTed Cruz missed his self-imposed deadline for releasing his tax returns.
Th
e Texas Senator said in this week's presidential debate that he would release them on Friday, as he
pressed rival Donald Trump to release his own returns. A Cruz spokesperson did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

In the same debate, Sen. Marco Rubio said he would release his returns by Saturday.
A Rubio spokesman said the campaign aims to release them Saturday afternoon.

Both Cruz and Rubio are trying to increase pressure on Trump, the GOP frontrunner, to unveil his tax documents.
Trump has declined, saying he is being audited.

Rubio met his own self imposed deadline of Saturday, btw

Rubio's tax returns: Few details, $2.3 million in 5 years
Rubio released five years' worth of financial information, saying the rates his family paid were in line with tax rates paid by Americans of similar income levels.
Florida Senator Marco Rubio and his wife, Jeanette, reported $2.3 million in income over the past five years and paid $526,092 in taxes,
according to tax documents released by the presidential candidate's campaign Saturday.

Hypocrites, all.

Rubio had almost nothing when he first ran for office, but he has managed to get rich being part of it.

We need a new nickname for Cruz besides GoldmanTed, which is still pretty good.

How about "North American Goldman Cruz"? :D

Right... we are paying a bit over 35% I believe so if he were paying that rate he should have paid $805k in taxes. I wonder if I can get the name of his CPA. I would easily pay the man twice what we pay our current CPA to get those rates!

I think Cruz could be out of the race this week, if so, he has no reason to release his tax returns. I am ashamed of my state today:

Rand Paul: at least 1.

I think Cruz could be out of the race this week, . . .

That'd be nice . . .
regardless, Cruz is gonna find out soon enough that this charade has shown he is eligible for Senate impeachment.

For some reason, I want to see Cruz, Rubio, and Kasich drop out, then have a Trump / Carson debate finale.
