Creationism and Global Warming

I was checking out an article on a website called rationalewiki about why creationists (specifically the belief that the earth is 10,000 years old) are wrong (my wife is turning into a creationist, arggh!). They mentioned a lot of stuff that made sense but then they said that the "creationists" use the same flawed logic as "global warming deniers". Wait a minute! I'm kind of a global warming denier but I take offense at being lumped into the same category as creationists. To me creationism and global warming are actually similar because they don't even pass the smell test. You don't need a degree in geology to see that it must have taken more than a few thousand years to create the Grand Canyon, for example. As far as global warming, maybe it is warming, but its been much warmer and much cooler than it is now and its always been changing. We've probably had millions of warming spells similiar to the one we've had now, why is this one any different? Also the science supporting the age of the earth is not nearly as biased as the global warming science. Global warming scientists only make money if they find that the earth is warming and it's going to be a catastrophe so obviously that's what they find.

Anyway I was just wondering if my position was unusual (against the idea of creationism and man made global warming).
