So after a few decades of wondering about the books that made me fall in love with the USA and our Constitution, I finally found them again!
As a child in the 1970s I had a series of books that told me stories of our history and founding. I remembered them fondly but I had no idea what the names of them were. I would tell my wife about these book many times over the years with hopes of rediscovering them again someday.
Well last week I was walking through the house and I came across this:
Apparently my wife picked this up at a thrift store a year ago and I had no idea it was in our possession!
Now our course I must build a collection of those early volumes. I don't think I want to add one from the 1990s and beyond, as apparently they kept adding more and I suspect they probably got off track. Those original stories about the Liberty Bell and the White House though were gold to me.
Anyone else ever have these books?
