Congress votes to raise the debt limit today! Contact your representative to vote against H.J. Res. 45, which would increase our debt limit by $1.9 trillion. We need to act immediately!

What's the deal with this legislation? Some sites are saying it already passed?

It happened before Brown was put in office. Not that this would do much, but yes as far as I know it's a done deal. Next is th 1.6 trillion deficit that Obama wants.

It will be passed, not much we can do about it now so might as well put our efforts into something more worth while. Things like this will always be passed until we get enough people into Congress who are willing to balance the budget and start paying back the debt.
