Gingrich has acknowledged he needs to win South Carolina's primary in order to stay in the race.

Will Newt drop if he comes second ?

After the Paul campaign calling on the other "Conservatives" to drop out, Newt is now following the leader Dr. Paul and telling the Perry and Santorum to drop out. lol

Who will drop out after SC ? Perry probably, maybe Santorum ? Newt will continue it seems. Dr. Paul of course will.

Yea, but Newt is calling for an alliance. I read that Newt wants Santorum and Perry to fall behind him.

Could get interesting. Nothing will happen before S.C., though. The egos are just too much.

We really got to do what we can in S.C. a third place is what we really need, nothing less. I hope our ground game there is picking up speed.

I agree, I would be satisfied with a third place finish, but would love a second !

I'd be amazed if Rick Perry dropped out and endorsed Ron...seems more probable than Cain doing it. If Rick is a true outsider like he claims....

Not that I'm waiting for it though.

rick perry should endorse ron paul... afterall, they both texans :p... how can he go back to texas and explain to texans why he didnt endorse a fellow texan. a texan they like.

Rick will never endorse Ron :) Some of you guys don't get it yet. I love you Newbies! You've just swallowed the Red Pill, it hasn't quite taken affect yet.

You gotta admit....Newt has brass balls. I mean, who else but Newt could say something like this after failing to get on the ballot in his home state?

The former speaker said the reason conservatives should coalesce around him and not Santorum is because he knows how to design a national campaign.

"I actually know how to set up a conservative alternative to Obama in a way that will be very, very effective and very strategic. And I don't think Santorum can do any of that. Again, it's not because he isn't a nice guy. He doesn't have any of the knowledge for how to do something like this.
"

Maybe Newt is the one that needs to drop out, what has he done that makes him think he is a viable candidate? At least Santorum finished a close 2nd (possibly 1st) in Iowa.

Candidate endorsements always amuse me.

Week 1: Candidate A cannot be trusted to run this nation. He did this, he did that. He's a bad candidate.

Week 2: I'm ending my candidacy and endorsing Candidate A for President of the Untied States because he will lead us to a better America.

Wow, that would be wonderful! Gingrich is pretty far behind Romney in SC and I think he'd have a hard time catching up. In the unlikely event that Newt would actually stand by his words and decide to get out of the race after SC, Paul would be second nationally with only Santorum and Perry to beat in order to become the anti Romney. This is huge!

Well, Perry did refuse to pile on Paul when the moderator tried to get him to last night, regarding foreign policy.

No chance of Perry endorsing Ron.
What do you guys think this is, a democratic republic?

What right does zero delegate Grinch have to tell anyone to exit the race?

Santorum went after Gingrich hard on this statement by Gingrich. He said he was arrogant. And made fun of him for being behind him twice.

Santorum went on to say he wouldn't be so arrogant to suggest ANYBODY get out the race and that he would never do that, I respect him for that. Nobody should really ever suggest that anybody else get out of the race, unless they do something completely disgusting or were caught up in moral problems.

Remember nobody even suggested Cain get out when he had the accusations get brought up against him. It isn't right.
