Classic Ron Paul:Osama bin Laden was our good friend because he was a freedom fighter-VID

Ron isn't known for being politically savvy, but I really think it was choice rather than political ineptitude that he was so blunt all the time. I think Rand got atleast some of his political savvyness from Ron, there have been quite a few times Ron has demonstrated his understanding of how to play the game, but just refused to do it because it bored him.

Just an observation

I think Ron was honest, consistently, and it inspires people who appreciate that.

He was very politically SAVVY, he rejected it, and the advancement it would have brought. He as much as said he refused to play the special interest/pandering game because the people needed the truth, and to know what was going on. Watch the other video.

That rejection of politics as usual is WHY he was 'most trusted' of all the candidates, consistently in polls, and is why he has the organic support he has.

Actually I would say the way he went about things was the most politically savvy way to do it. His ideas were not mainstream yet so "playing the game" would have gotten him nowhere. As I have always said, Ron and Rand's roles in the movement are different - equally important, but different.

give me a better title, it is just what the video was called, so I used it.

That made me jump a bit when I first read it, until I realized what he was talking about. I don't honestly know what I would replace it with, but I don't want anyone falsely thinking Ron Paul was condoning the 9/11 attack or something..

This is the kind of thing we'll miss Ron for because his "successors" are absolutely spineless when it comes to foreign policy.

It was absolutely a choice. Ron's smart enough to know how to lie or how to massage a point, if necessary.

In fact, I'd say that one of Ron's greatest strengths is the precision of his language, particularly when he writes and/or has time to mull things over. No word that he chooses is random. Everything is intentional.

No,, not because it board him. He refused to because it is dishonest.

He has integrity,, something not seen much anymore..

Agreed.

So how do we really check out a candidate's character? Ron had a thirty year record, but that's going to be tough to find. A nut we need to crack.

So many times after watching Ron Paul's videos I think he is man ahead of times or ahead of most. Having vision and courage/integrity to express it, true signs of a leader.

when did you first hear about ron paul, and how did it come about?

During Presidential debates.
Although still learning about principles of non-interventionsim & libertarianism that Ron Paul talks about, I used to be uninformed or rather misinformed having been used to MSM cables TV news. Lately watching MSM TV news seems like a sin without pleasure, so I dig contrarian views when it comes to current events and their understanding.
