New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie on Monday expanded on his attack of Rand Paul for his efforts to force the expiration of the PATRIOT Act, saying that the Kentucky senator, not the directors of the FBI or CIA, should answer to Congress in the event of another terrorist attack.
In an interview with MSNBC’s “Morning Joe,” Christie said that most voters have expressed grave concern with the threat posed by the Islamic State.

“And that’s why what Rand Paul has done to make this country weaker and more vulnerable is a terrible thing, and for him to raise money off of it is disgraceful. It’s disgraceful,” Christie said, touting his experience as the only candidate to use the PATRIOT Act as New Jersey’s top prosecutor.
“We’re going to look back on this, and he should be in front of hearings in front of Congress if there’s another attack,” the governor said at the end of the interview. “Not the director of the FBI or the CIA.”
Christie reiterated that in order to defeat ISIL, the U.S. has to “arm our allies, train them, and it’s their fight.”

Like the attack that didn't occur on July 4th? Also, why are folks up in arms about the Patriot Act being gone? The phone data collection part has been revived, has it not?

Honestly, this is laughable. But I truly wouldn't mind or care if this fat idiot dropped dead from clogged arteries.

Yes, it most likely never stopped and never will.

Did Rand not get criticised heavily when he said people on his side will blame him if we get attacked during his NSA filibuster? Well I think not only does crispy cream owe him an apology but so do all the journalist who said he was over the top in his statement

Rand's statement was along the lines of some people were hoping for a terrorist attack so they could blame him.

No, the criticism was that Rand said other people *wanted* us to be attacked so that they could blame it on him, which is different than just saying "if we get attacked then its your fault"

I hope he gets into the debates.

I feel another "Giuliani moment" coming on.

Now where on earth would he get that idea?! lol. The reason they got so upset about it was they all knew its the truth; but its one of those dirty ugly truths that can't be allowed to stand.

so does this mean he also gets credit for no attacks on the 4th?

What I would respond in a debate:

Only a candidate who isn't serious about running -who is running maybe to help another candidate- can make a statement so outrageous and ridiculous. Unfortunately we didn't even have the votes to stop the renewal of surveillance, it's still going on. So Mr. Christie, what change in the law do you think makes us more vulnerable?

Is it going to be beneficial or a detriment to have everyone against Rand in the debates? I can't wait come debate time but I wonder. If everyone is against Rand, will the base react and think Rand is too far out there to support, or will the fact that everyone is attacking Rand work in Rand's favor in that he stands out and it should give him more time in the debates since he should be given time to respond to those that try to attack him. I'm sure Christie is going to be going after Rand a lot in the debates. So if there are 10 people on the debate stage but most can't control themselves and decide to attack Rand, Rand may be given a lot of time to speak during the debates since they allow for rebuttals. Should be exciting to watch

^ I don't know, I'm looking forward to Trump's performance. Hopefully he is there.
