Capitalism is a method of ownership, while the market (and the freer the better) is a method of exchange. They are not the same thing.

Capitalism can be just as destructive to the free market as socialism.

That is exactly right Hugo. Here is the definition from Online Etymology.

capital (n.)
The financial sense (1610s) is from L.L. capitale "stock, property," neut. of capitalis.

capitalism
1854, "condition of having capital;" from capital + -ism. Meaning "political/economic system which encourages capitalists" is recorded by 1877.

According to these definitions it is the free market. i.e. Condition of having property, using it for production, and exchanging it.

It's all semantics really. Everything is relative and subjective.

Anarcho capitalism still encompasses how I view life. I completely object to involuntary action. I have no right, whatsoever, to force you to do anything.
