Rand just gave an epic one hour speech on the Senate floor about foreign aid.

He said that he expects the Senate to vote later tonight on his bill to end aid to Egypt, Libya, and Pakistan and that we'll be lucky if we get 20 Senators to vote for the bill. If we ever want to end ALL foreign aid, we have to at least win these small battles.

His bill is S. 3576. The text is not yet available.

AIPAC is opposed of Paul's bill because they are afraid it's too broad and could very well cut off aid to Israel if US's embassy in Israel comes under attack.

Yes, that is scheduled for a vote too. It has 80 cosponsors (including DeMint and Lee).
