This is the month which comes up every two years -- When You Can Run for a Position on the Central Committees -- as a delegate from your District -- in your political party!

The Central Committees control what candidates are run and supported by your party in local elections, for Assembly and Congressional Seats, as well as city council seats and County Supervisors. And they need to gain more power than they now have. This will be achieved by greater numbers of us running for seats on the Committees. I'm speaking especially of the Republican Party, as that has been changed by coming under the control of the Elite Establishment. The stronger a voice for freedom and limited government we can exert, the better. So please consider running. And this is how you do it:

For each Party, there are a designated number of seats available on the Central Committee in each District ( For example, in OC County, it goes by Assembly District; and each District elects 7 members to a Central Committee, for a total of 189 members for each party.

Regardless of where you are in California, beginning now, you can go to the Registrar of Voters and file as a candidate. You then get signatures from your relatives (including yourself), friends and neighbors -- all of whom must be registered members of your party -- and live in your district --

Orange County and San Francisco County have a similar system, with delegates elected from each Assembly District. OTHER COUNTIES ARE DIFFERENT. In other areas, delegates to the Central Committees are elected by Supervisorial or Congressional District, etc., etc. So, if you are in a different County, check locally.

But the Filing Deadlines for the California June Primary are all the same. They are determined by the State Election Code.

You must turn in your papers with the signatures not later than March 7.
So there is a window of about 2 weeks to get this done. After you qualify, you then do some campaigning. I am told it is not difficult or expensive. And if you are elected in the June Primary, you're in for two years! All Central Committees members can go to the State Conventions which meet twice a year.

If you are elected as the leader of your district delegates, you belong to an executive committee, which meets more often.

The more of us on the Central Committees who want limited constitutional government and individual rights, the more influence we will have. This is how you really take back control. At the local level!

Whatever your party, you can run for your party's Central Committee and have an influence there for the principles you believe in. So please consider running. Remember time is short. And I hope you discuss it with others you know who have similar values.

You can call or email us if you have any questions.

It will be a good idea for someone to keep a tally of who is running in each district. Please tell us if you are running.

I hope many of you decide to run for the Central Committees, regardless of your party. If you have been registered in your party for 3 months, and have not been in another qualifying party during the last 12 months' or if you have turned 18 after Dec. 11 (call to make sure that you qualify), just go down to the Registrar of Voters and file your papers for a seat on the Central Committee of your party.
The deadline for filing is March 6, at which time you will need enough valid signatures to qualify. So don't wait until then.

Running for a seat on the Central Committees is an excellent opportunity to make a difference!
