British MEP Daniel Hannan speaks with (YAL) Young Americans for Liberty

oh man that second video with the joke in it was pretty good. didn't expect it to be so funny.

I remember when my country got in the EU I was happy. Right now, I despise more and more the EU due to it's regulations and so on. It should get back to what it was meant to be - a zone of free trade and free movement of capital and people. That's it. No regulation, common agricultural policy, common etc.

That's the danger with managed trade blocs. Free trade is defined by a lack of laws and government organizations.

I've heard a variation of that joke before. It is pretty good.

Hannan told a Churchill joke once before that I though was good as well. Something like:

“One day, Winston Churchill went to the bathroom and ran into the head of the Labour Party, who was his political opponent. Churchill took the urinal furthest from him. The head of the Labour Party asked Churchill if he was just being modest. Churchill responded, “Not at all. It’s just that whenever you Labourite chaps see something that is large, privately owned and working well, you want to nationalize it.”
